LIKES: Light soft rock, pizza, fighting, star-gazing, pillows.
DISLIKES: Anxiety attacks, cookies, overbearing people, being young, not being taken seriously.
STRENGTHS: Very determined, quick on her feet, acrobatic style of fighting.
WEAKNESSES: Underestimates her self, new fighter, claustrophobia and panic attacks.
WEAPON(s): A simple silver short sword with her crystal star on the end.
A wooden sword from her days of training.
APPEARANCE:: Long dark brown hair grows long about to the small of her back. It is mostly straight but curls at the end. It is cut in a style of layers that frame her face and sometimes get in her eyes. Next her dark brown-black eyes are probably her most noted feature as they are an open book of emotion. They can often be mistaken as red if in the right light.
Her nose is rather small and pixie-like, but to her, she thinks of it as a witch's nose. Her mouth is thin and pale. She has a natural look about her as she chooses not to wear make up.
She sees this as a nuisance and waste of time on her journey. Her skin is pale and clear for the most part, but she does break out on occasion's of intense stress.
From the neck down, she is slender and small at the height of 5'1. There is a slight roundness about her of a maturing woman figure, but she is still in the awkward teen stage of growing up.
She retains a scar on her back from a scuffle with some Heartless when she was eight.
Her attire is simple consisting of a gray, thin strap dress that goes to her knees and ruffles out. A black jacket with a hood covers her arms for warmth. Sometimes the hood is worn up or rests against her back. Black converse adorn her feet, but black straps on the left and white straps on the right lace up her mid-thigh for extra support. Two silver rings are stacked on her middle finger. Tons of braided and rubber bracelets adorn her arms.
She is often seen carrying a cross shoulder bag where she may keep her extra little gadgets like her mp3 players, extra food and things she collects along the way.
PERSONALITY: Kade is very much the regular teenager: moody at times, but she has a big heart.
For the most part, Kade is quiet and doesn't speak up a lot, but still is sweet and friendly. Being at a young age, she is friendly towards most and naive that there are dangers and people that want to hurt her.
Also being a novice fighter, she underestimates herself, but still tries to take on big enemies and ends up getting hurt. She has a knack for adjusting to her environment and moving on from hard times or defeat, showing she has a strong will, but at times she still wants to relax and slow down.
For the most part, Kadence is nice and a sweet girl, but has a fiery spirit about her, and acting on this nature can make her seem rash, fearless and lead her to do some stupid things. If she is hurt or betrayed, she lashes out trying to hurt the other person in return, but will later feel horrible about it and try to reconcile with said person.
In conversation, she tends to be be quite random and can same some awkward things, but she means in it in all due respect. Kade has a superiority complex and does not follow others orders. She is very independent and goes about her own way.
If she sees someone in need of help, she does all she can, going out of her way even if she has something important to do.
One thing most people don't know about her and she hates to talk about is her panic disorder. These are often characterized by extreme moment of panic with not being able to breathe very well and chest palpitations. They can occur at any time and extremely frightening for her. Light rock music seems to calm her down.
One strange quirk that possibly comes from her anxiety is that she surrounds herself with pillows when she is about to sleep. It is a coping method or sorts.
The teen absolutely loves pizza and can live on it for months, eating it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Due to the various amounts of exercise she gets, she is able to work off the extra calories. She has an obsession with her ratty old Converse and refuses to part ways with them. Besides this and her good luck charm, she never has much responsibility concerning other items of importance.
There are very few things she hates except for people trying to control her, tell her what they think is best for her and really bad rap or country music.
Talent wise, Kade does have a superior knowledge of the Gummi ship because of her father's work and likes to tinker with technological devices.
All in all, Kadence has a big heart and a strong will, but tends to trip herself up by thinking she can take on the world herself.
HISTORY: Kade's history is a simple one, filled with happy moments and sad as all histories are.
Kade was born in and rasied in Traverse Town although her parents are from Radiant Garden and lived there for many years. They made their way here when their peaceful world was disrupted many years ago.
Her father, Thadeus Rae, was a soldier for protecting Radiant Garden while her mother, Nessa, worked as a florist for the community in growing the signature beauties of Radiant Garden.
When Gummi Blocks were discovered from the various meteors that rained down on the city, Thadeus was hired onto a research team because of his unusual gift with technology.
As the downfall Radiant Garden came into play by the hands of the Heartless, Thadeus and Nessa were able to escape by use of the one of the Gummis and ended up in Traverse Town. When they landed, they found out that many of their neighbors had ended up there as well.
Thad acted as a leader and pulled together a group for the refugees to help cope and build a community together much like the tight knit one they had once possessed on their home planet.
About three years after the incident, Kade was born. Her name comes from the irregular rhythm of her heart when she was born. She grew up never knowing anything but the dark night sky and the bright stars above. But she developed a fascination with said stars and her father bestowed upon her a small crystal star that soon became her good luck charm.
As she grew, Kade's curiosity of the outside world grew with it. This scared her parents as it reminded them of what happened to their home world. She went to school and grew. Most of the time she did well in school and made friends, but often got in trouble for ditching school to explore.
Around the time she was eleven, the Heartless returned once again and many of the people were restricted to the First District. To hear that she was no longer allowed to explore devastated the youngster and she never quite understood why her daddy was allowed to go into the different districts. Unbeknown that her father was fighting the Heartless, she decided one day to trail after him.
Kade thought she would be safe is Thad was around, but she got separated, but she wasn't alone for long.
Pools of darkness gathered at her feet and yellow beady eyes blinked eerily at her. The next thing she knows is the searing pain in her back. Crouching down, the Heartless surrounded her, but thankfully her dad came along, but not without a few battle scars of his own.
Both returned safely to the First District to be treated for their wounds. After being treated for the deep scar on her back, she was told that she was going to be fine except that the skin would be scarred. She went into the next room to see her father lying on a table. The pain in her chest grew and she froze on the spot. That was the first time she had a panic attack as she saw the deep gashes over his body.
The next two to three years her father would have to spend in recovery and learning how to regain strength in his arm that was wounded severely.
Kade also had some recovering for herself to deal with as she became quite reclusive and not the same inquisitive child she once was. She even became home schooled because of the stress with trying to cope with the anxiety.
Her father would not stand for that. He pulled her from her room and began training her at once with a wooden sword that had once been his own practice weapon.
At first, she would hardly move or act upon any of the training he gave her. For the first year, she rejected the training and refused to fight even though her father continued urge her. He knew that she would eventually need to learn how to fight.
On the eve of her fourteenth birthday, another Heartless outbreak occurred even filling into the First District which was normally safe. Kadence watched as Thad rushed out. There were other people she had never seen in the town before, but the most notable thing about them were the weapons they carried. They were unlike anything she had seen.
The curiosity that once lit a fire for adventure was beginning to be rekindled once more. The next string of events ignited that fire. A Heartless pounced and she was whisked back to the night when she was eight.
'Fight.' The voice inside her heart told her.
Running down the stairs, she found her father's old sword. Even though she was small, she heaved it and dragged it outside. By the time she had reached her father, the fight was in full swing.
The group of fighters was astounded as she rushed onto the battle field swinging the heavy blade. She ended up getting knocked out in the end and the battle calmed down after a while.
Both her parents were extremely upset, her father reminding her that he could lose her so easily. As part of her punishment, she was to train in order to defend herself. But for once, she was actually slightly excited.
She never once again saw the strange weapon her father wielded that night. Despite the curiosity, she thought it best not to ask. But maybe, just maybe, one day fate would give her a key to unlocking the mystery

Kade's bare legs swung to and fro as she sat atop the bell tower in Traverse Town. This was one of the few places she could come to get away if she wasn't training, working on homework or hanging out with her best friend Lawrence. After her reclusive year, she lost many of her friends, but he had remained a constant in her life and had helped her overcome her anxiety, although she dealt with it on a regular basis.
Her blade lay at her side and she was leaned back in a relaxed position with her hands behind her to brace herself. Oddly enough the height didn't bother her at all, actually the cool, calming air relaxed her.
Closing her eyes, she let her mind drift. Of course as usual, the memories of that night replayed in her head. Actually, two nights.
A burning sensation in her left shoulder reminded her of the night when she was eleven. The darkness pooling at her feet, threatening to drag her in; the yellow eyes staring straight through her. These were all memories and of course the strong arms that pulled her from the darkness.
Black eyes flashed opened to the dark night sky. That was five years ago. After that night, she no longer wanted to explore. The outside world was too scary. Her dad had been hurt because of her. Never again would she hurt him.
Kade sighed and let her body fall back so she was in a laying position. The cool stone against her neck and skull felt foreign and rough, but she didn't mind.
The stars twinkled above. There was a time she could remember about three years ago when the stars were going out one by one very rapidly. But within the last while, the brightness had returned. She figured whoever made them come back thought the world needed stars to show a way through the darkness. she silently thanked that person in her heart.
Flopping to her side, she reached over to her blade to fumble with the little star charm attached at the hilt. It was fashioned after the weapons she saw that night. Bringing it up close to her face, she closed her left eye and held the crystal in front of her right. A bright star in a sea of darkness.
Letting her arm drop to her side and her other eye slide close, the second memory came into view before mind's eye. The night when she decided she would fight.
The heaviness of the blade, the scrape of steel against concrete and she lunged into the fray. A nasty bruise on the side of her head when she woke up.
A slow grin formed on her pale lips as she remembered part of her punishment was the training. Her father was a soldier, and he drove her like he was a general. But the harder her worked her, the more he said he saw her grow.
Well she personally didn't see it. She didn't have any magical abilities like the one she heard of. Even her mother possess a small talent for the Cure spell.
But still she would fight.
