Refelctions of a Dark Mind [Darkwing/Open]

[Darkwing]

"Oh, I can see your power. It just becomes glaringly obvious that you waste it. On what? Fun?! Simply Pillaging?! Ever Reaching towards a lofty goal without bringing yourself close to it! You don't even know it, but the number of worlds has only increased since you started your killing spree." Darkwing said. "That laugh was sweet music to my ears, you're increasing your usefulness, and thus your lifespan by the minute. Tell me then boy, what forces you to hate the universe, or are you just filled so much of it that you have no better target, it matters not to met at this point."

"That's enough, Legion." Darkwing said. With a grumble and complaining about being hungry, Darkwing's commander withdrew his blade and left. "Now we're on equal terms, that false veneer of diplomacy did nothing more than anger me." Darkwing said. "What have I done towards my goals you ask? Ha! Rome wasn't built in a day. Nor was it crushed in that amount of time. You think Kingdom Hearts shows it simply because we will it to do so? Oh, what a fool you are! There needs to be hearts to accumulate and form it. Create it, you can't destroy something that isn't even material." Darkwing smiled at Chaos. "I was like you once. I thought that simply killing and ransacking would work fine. It started with one kingdom, then eventually my whole world." Darkwing walked towards Chaos. "You are only more powerful than me because I lack my full power. Fortunately, a madman was kind enough to give me the means by which to regain the power I've lost." Darkwing said, his voice becoming increasingly more calm. "You killed the master who made you, I slaughtered the family of the man who stole my bride from me, then watched then savored the despair on his face before I tortured him to death. You have to options Chaos, join me and actually have productivity in your purpose, or simply die like the other fools without knowing you've furthered my goals."

[Chaos]

Chaos rolled his eyes. "How about this we cut all the pretentious bullshit and we approach this like the reasonable murderers we are. You stop trying to one up and belittle me, and I'll stop saying what I think about you. Think we can handle that Lord of Darkness." Chaos said with as much sarcasm as he could muster.

"Brass tacks, you have an idea that could wipe out everything in one go, and I mostly like that, saves me a lot of trouble and heartache, but the rub is, you can't assure me I will survive, and if there is one thing I like more then destruction, it's survival." Chaos said with a smile. "I mean I don't breath, but the act of it, just never gets old. Now if we can polish this plan where I and a select few others survive, then we have a working relationship, as unstable as that might be."

"Otherwise your a threat to me, and that's a bad thing for you to be, cause I kill threats to my existence, no offense, but the whole survival thing." Chaos said with a shrug.It seemed now he was being playful, and just kept moving as he spoke."See I was hoping for more of a humans dead everywhere, but the worlds remain scenario, gives me something to, you know, live on, I mean the Darkness isn't exactly very comforting."

"Have you given any thought to what happens next, or is this the most extreme suicide ever, cause myself, I planned to outlive my apocalypse, maybe keep a few humans alive to see if a better way can be found, or at least to repopulate a world so I never get bored. I mean what are your long term goals here."

"Oh there also appears to be some slight confusion about who's top or bottom in this relationship, so let me set the record straight. I don't give a fuck what you see this as, but it's kinda my show. Don't get me wrong, I respect your ideas, and maybe some of your ideals, but your arrogant, it's gonna get you in trouble. I mean I'm speaking from experience here, arrogance gets you in the end." Chaos said with a nod.

"The best your going to get in this situation is equals and then only because I'm lying. See that's the thing about vision, it's not that I'm set in one way about what I do, it's about the end goal." Chaos said with a playful smile. "You have an honest reason to destroy all of humanity, and that's good. It's good to have such purpose in your life. I'll be honest I kill because, well, what's the point in amassing power or wealth. All the humans who give it meaning will die one day. No, it's time to tear the whole thing, and my mom always told me to enjoy your work. So come on Darkwing, let's say we talk shop and stop pissing on everything to assert dominance."

[Darkwing]

"Equals. Fair enough." Darkwing said. There was a shout of anger from somewhere in the shadows, and several unkind curse words directed at Chaos, who he was apparently calling. "Cake-os" now. "Shut up Legion!" Darkwing barked. The man was immediately silenced. "Minions these days, Obedient, Intelligent, Evil. Pick any two." Darkwing muttered. "As for my plans, it was always my intention to rebuild after everything was destroyed. And if the universe still isn't to my liking . . . well, I did just commit omnicide in a sense, I'm sure Kingdom Hearts will come again simply from everyone dying at once. Let's get that far, then we can decide what to do with the survivors, those who truly have strong hearts or no heart at all, and decide what to do with them."

"As for my arrogance, I hate to say it, but age does that to you. The closest anyone came to killing me was sealing me away for a few centuries." Darkwing said. "It was unpleasant to say the least, and I was sick with rage that the people who had sealed me were dead. I would have loved to remind the fools that they were sealing the very king that their stupidity, ignorance, and bigotry had enraged them in the first place." Once Darkwing was done explaining himself, he gave Chaos a small that was jarringly different from his previous one, his tone of voice changed as well. It was almost pleasant. "So then, Horsemen, do we have an alliance, or will I be forced to stab until the pain kills you?" Darkwing asked.

[Chaos]

Chaos just watched him as Darkwing began to speak. He had seemed to calm down, which was good, but the continued sheer arrogance coming off of the creature was surprising. It was a fair bet that the immortal did not realize that Chaos was indestructible. Of course Chaos had learned the hard way, that didn't mean he couldn't be beaten.

So Darkwing had been sealed away as well. A normal conversation, he would add that he too had been defeated in a similar manner. However Chaos did not want that to be common knowledge. As much as it galled him, but the worlds had forgotten what he was. His first encounter with Tyro had taught him that. For now that was an advantage, it would give him time to secure his power base before striking out as he once had..

He looked up to Darkwing, meeting his eyes. Something flashed behind Chaos' eyes, some form of amusement at this whole situation. "For now, we serve the same ideal."

He looked around and then back to Darkwing. "So if what you say is true about Kingdom Hearts, we will have to follow my plan at first, in order to gather the Hearts to forge it. Do you know how many it will take?"

[Darkwing]

Darkwing's face turned into a somewhat affable grin, though his eyes kept the same madness in them. People tended not to pay to much attention to his eyes though. "For now we do." Darkwing said. At Chaos' question Darkwing had to admit that he wasn't sure. "I'll be the first to admit, the exact number is something I don't know according to my resources, the last time Kingdom Hearts was summoned, a nobody manipulated the keyblade to his will, slaughtering heartless and the hearts they contained, and summoning kingdom hearts." Darkwing said. "With that in mind, I have merely one request, spill every drop of blood possible when you conquer a world. Leave no survivors."

Darkwing wondered how much eh should tell this man. Perhaps he should keep the idea of quid pro quo in mind. "So, I suppose there are three other 'horsemen.'" Darkwing said. "War, Pestilence, and Death. Although, last I checked, the fourth was either 'Famine' or the Anti-Christ. I can tell you now, Chaos you may be, but you or no false savior. You don't offer renewal through downfall, all you do is bring death. Am I not correct? Or perhaps that screen is but wishful thinking."

[Chaos]

"Harvesting the Hearts already gathered by the Heartless, a brilliant stratagem, but one we likely could not replicate." Chaos said as he lost himself in thought for a short time. "No, I will harvest the Hearts, with my Heartless. I will sweep across worlds and unite them in death. Do you have a way to capture the Hearts that I release?"

He watched the being, unsure how much to give the creature, but he had already guessed much of it. "Yes there are three others like me. War, Pestilence, and Death. They are my siblings, created through the same means. Together we have marched across the land, leaving death and decay in our wake."

"As to me, no, I offer no form of salvation, and I ask not for gluttony. No, I have always been there to show the rest of humanity how fragile their order really is. I have shown them the weakness of government, and of the rigidity of their own minds. I liberate the world into it's natural state." Chaos said with a mirthless grin. "Man built order to hide from the nature of the world. He corrupted the truth and perverted it to his own means. I am merely reminding them what is really out there. The natural state is Chaos. Of course, so few survive my enlightenment."

"Trust me, none of what you have seen is false."

[Darkwing]

Darkwing let out a hearty, but still menacing laugh. "Good, good, it would be awful to hear that all that was fake after having been so impressed thus far." Darkwing said, his face turning into a more relaxed smile. "To the matter of the hearts then. I won't lie. I'm not entirely sure an exact amount, but does it matter? We're both immortal, and as I said, for every world you destroy 3 more pop up. Accumulating the hearts should be child's play. Between you and Legion, enough hearts will be accumulated in not time." Almost as if in response to hearing his name, there was the unmistakable sound of something being rather sloppily eaten.

"It's funny how every time you mention his name he's caught something to eat." Darkwing said. "It would be humorous if the sound of him eating weren't so sickening. Well, the sound of him eating anything that's not a complete being anyways. Legion has the bad habit of playing with his food. Unfortunately, when it's not a complete being, there isn't much for him to play with, and he goes straight to tearing whatever he's caught apart for the soul."

[Chaos]

"You will need to fashion a way to capture the hearts but this all seems feasible." Chaos said with a smile as he considered the whole of the situation. He would have to build up the rest of his army, but between the allies he had made and the Heartless he had created, it would be simple to crush one world after the next. "Until then I will store them in the form of the Heartless."

Chaos listened to the noise. Legion had annoyed him. Legion had assumed that Chaos would be easy prey. If there was one thing Chaos hated more then heroes it was being underestimated. However this time he understood that there was no way any of them could have heard of his legends. The two of them were ignorant as to the sheer force of destruction that stood before them. Of course for now Chaos intended to use that to his advantage.

"I find it more surprising that he found something here to eat. All I have found here are Heartless. It is surprisingly empty, considering the level of development." Chaos said as he looked around him. He always saw some form of movement just outside his field of vision, but it was never substantial. "So then we have reached an accord, how will we contact each other? I can command the Heartless, but can you?"
