Zack stretched out his arms and fell back onto the soft, shifting sand beneath him. It had been so long since the last time he went on vacation. Actually, the last time he went on vacation he remembered it got cut short by some monsters that attacked the beach. Of course after defeating the monsters he had to report right back to Shinra, it's tough living the life of a SOLDIER some times. There were benefits to being one though. Like meeting interesting people, even if most of them tried to kill you or are trying to still kill you. Though he did meet some cool people, like this little ninja girl who used to live in Wutai, and a young girl named Aerith. "Oh yeah," Zack thought to himself as he remembered something. "I told her I'd say when I was on vacation again, oops," he chuckled, "she probably won't be too happy when I talk to her next time. But then again, she's pretty forgiving." Zack breathed a sigh of relief, luckily Aerith wasn't like Cloud's friend Tifa or else he would've been in for a hurting.
Looking into the billowy white clouds that slowly sailed across that sea of light blue, Zack found himself thinking of his old friend Angeal. Angeal was a man whom Zack greatly admired and was the man who helped to personally train Zack. If it wasn't for Angeal's training, Zack probably would have died on multiple occasions. Thinking of his past fights, Zack thought of the Buster Sword. The weapon Angeal entrusted to him, as if he was handing his dreams away as he died. "Use brings about wear, tear and rust. And that's a real waste," said Zack, "that's what you use to say right? Don't worry, I've been keeping her safe." Listen to him, calling the weapon a she as though it were some sort of ship or other vessel.
"It just looks so... liberating," said Zack, he was watching seagulls perform all sorts of acrobatic stunts in the vast sky. The way they played with each other, twirled, and dove down to the sea at breakneck speeds only to catch themselves and glide above the waves, skimming the water with their feet. How could Aerith find something which seemed so free, so frightening? Zack pulled his hand up and reached for the sky and said with a smirk, "I'll be sure to fly one day." He was referencing himself becoming a great hero that would rival Sephiroth, well before Sephiroth's descent into madness anyway. Zack found a bad taste in his mouth thinking back to when Sephiroth attacked and burned Cloud's home town, Nibleheim, to the ground. He let his arm fall to his waist as he thought about how difficult it would be for Cloud in the near future.
Shaking his head clear of all these mixed emotions, Zack sat up and wiped the sand off his back. This was his vacation, it was suppose to be a relaxing day at the beach. He can't let the troubles of his work life interfere with this period of tranquility. Zack stood there marveling at the spectacular sight of the sea as it shimmered like gold. Zack slumped his shoulder and let his head hang, perhaps this would have been more enjoyable had he invited some of the Turks, or maybe a few of his other friends. This brought his mind to Genesis, a SOLDIER that escaped and is behind many a wrong doing. "No, no, no," Zack said, frustrated as ever, while he pounded his head. "No more of these depressing thoughts dammit!"
Impulsively he ran and jumped into the body of water to take his mind off of things. Beneath the water he could see many a number of colorful fish swimming around. The schools of fish were fantastical moving portraits using the sea as their giant blank canvas. Diving deeper he could see dunes of sand held in place by the weight of the ocean and the coral reefs that seemed like trees jutting out of the ground. This beach was just so great, maybe he would make it his new training location. Resurfacing from the dark blue waters the sun stung his eyes. Using his hand as a form of shade he looked over at the shore and saw the outline of figure. "Oh crap, my Buster Sword is just laying on the beach," worried about the safety of his weapon he starting swimming back to the shore as fast as he could.

As the sun’s rays beat down upon the beach and across the water. The waves crash into the shoreline leaving deep imprints on the sandy beach. With the trees and their leaves blowing in the wind, Mickey stares at the person he has been trying to find this whole time. He has heard many stories about the bravery and fortitude of this young man. However he thought to himself,“Can he live up to the stories I have heard about him?”
All of a sudden he is reminded of the stories that have brought him here. Stories of how Zack cared about his friends and the Light. Zack’s friends had helped him through so much in his life and had given him the tools and courage to continue through life. The ability to continue through life has made him want to help others too. Zack had cared so much that he fought against Sephiroth, an enemy that could destroy him with one thought. He escaped with the help of his friend, Cloud. Who Mickey has also been on the lookout for but had heard the last time he was saw it was somewhere on Olympus. “Maybe I’ll head there next, if the Star Shard allows me and doesn’t take me off to another world on its own accord," Mickey thought to himself.
The King comes back to the present where he is looking for a young man with a huge sword. This sword (that Mickey had been told of) was not a Keyblade but had enough power and experience that it can fight the Darkness. Mickey thought this could help his quest, but first he had to find out what caused it and how Sora had been doing. However, as Mickey had continued walking on the beach letting the wind whistle in his ears. He saw a figure in the ocean and an area on the beach that looked like it had been occupied.

Even though his muscle's were starting to feel sore, Zack kept swimming at full speed towards the beach. As he got closer to the shore he could see the figure walking over to his area of the beach. Zack was even more anxious now. Zack pulled into shore and shook the water out of his shorts. He jogged over to his sword and grabbed it just to make sure it was safe. He was glad the Buster Sword was back in his possession, he didn't know what he would do if it got nabbed.
Zack shook out his head to expel the excess water in his hair. Grabbing his towel he it off, leaving a healthy sheen behind. Then he soaked up the water from his abs, chest, and back. He didn't mind his legs being wet, it wasn't like he was wearing pants right now. Slipping on a white shirt it accentuated his abs and chest by sticking to his body, since it still slightly damp.
Approaching the hood cloaked figure, Zack could make out some distinct features. Aside from the ominous black jacket, the creature had two large, circular ears and thin tail. It wasn't very tall, only coming up to his torso, but the face of it... looked like a mouse? The creature didn't exactly look like he was up to no good, so Zack extended his hand as if to shake hands and with a smile said, "Hi, I'm Zack."

“Wow,” Mickey thought to himself “The Stories I was told didn’t say he was so tall. Then again most of the stories were about him growing up wanting to help the worlds.” Mickey remembered his time in the Olympus Coliseum. Mickey had met an old friend there by the name of Phil. They had begun talking about heroes of the past and present. “I guess you could call them the good old times, before darkness had spread through the worlds,” Mickey said to himself. Mickey was told by Phil of the times this fellow(Zack) had wanted to become a hero so bad he wanted to go against the likes of Hercules in a Duel. Granted this was when Hercules was barely able to lift a mountain much less hold the World on his shoulders. However he was told of this Zack character which all the ladies fell for even though he was just a tall lanky guy at the time that always showed up to late. Zack had dreams. Dreams that were almost to big for him but he still shot for them like that’s all he had to live for. Mickey had admired this about him even though he ha never met the kid. Suddenly Mickey comes back to reality and realizes he has Zack in front of him. With a greeting from the kid at hand. Mickey replied back in his eager and mousy voice “Hi, how ya doing there pally.”
