Darkness. At the expense of making her reawakening moments of consciousness be filled with angst, a crack of light finally shined through. As pessimistic as her thoughts can be sometimes, to dwell on the darkness any more than she had been submerged in it could be a dangerous thing.
And really, she felt nothing but good.
The chilling tenseness released from her spine...
Warmth began to flush her cheeks...
The rigidity of her grasp around the Nymph was loosening...
And her feet could finally lift off the ground.
Sure, their steps were in fumbles, trying to regain her balance as her lungs expanded, finally finding the sense to breathe. But it was great to know that the slimey, yet foggy tentacles of the dark corridor that brought her to an incredibly stark, white room were finally retracting.
Her breathing was heavy, harsh against Larxene's chest. It took her a moment before she pushed herself from that stability and tried to stand on her own two feet. Skell was light-headed, and the scenery didn't help.
A cough escaped her, and then a sigh. This was better.
"Thanks..." she panted, casting a narrowed look at Larxene, "... for the warning. Mind it coming a little sooner, next time?"
Her eyelashes fluttered, trying to adjust her eyes to the brightness. When she was finally recuperated enough, she stood up straight and tried to take everything in. Only... she was surrounded by a whole lot of nothing.
"Where are we, exactly?"

She absolutely loved seeing Skell squirm as the dark tentacles tried to take her heart. Larxene would almost have loved too Scarlet's heart ripped from her body, the key word being almost. Her new toy seemed like it would be very exciting.
The Savage Nymph strode out of the Corridor of Darkness with an air of confidence. Larxene forced a fake chuckle forward upon hearing Red's words. "Next time I'll give you a coat, you know you can easily die without one?" Larxene said, alluding to the fact that Skell could have easily just died. And then Red wanted to know where they where. Larxene threw her head back in laughter.
"Where are we?" Larxene said through her false laughter. It seemed almost more mocking then anything else. "We are in a castle that never existed. In a world that never was, and it's filled with things who crave hearts." The Savage Nymph finished her statement, leaving her answer ambiguous for a reason. It was against the rules for her to bring outsiders to the Castle that Never Was, especially Somebodies. It had something to do with that whole Sora incident.
Larxene signed as she began to walk off in a random direction. She wondered if anyone else was home. Xemnas would probably through a fit if he saw Scarlet, but she didn't really care. "Hey, Red. If ya see Xemnas don't let him know I brought you here, kay?"

"Uh, well, no..." Skell shot back a bit coldly, sending a glare Larxene's way as well, "I didn't know I could die without one of your special coats. How in the world would I know something like that?"
Despite her scratching annoyance with the blonde, Skell listened. It wasn't like she knew any better than Larxene did. This place was her home, right? With twelve others just like her running about.
And then she said it. What Skell needed to hear. "Things that crave hearts."
Jackpot.
"Crave hearts, huh?" Skell tilted her head questioningly, innocently, hands shoved into her pockets. She had a feeling she already knew what Larxene meant, and that she had found exactly what she had been hoping to find for a year now. But... better to play dumb right now, "Like... you eat them, or something? That's a little barbaric, no? Can't you contract diseases that way?"
She paced up behind Larxene as she trot off in some direction, sure to keep a reasonable distance behind her. She pursed her lips at her title: "Red." She hadn't been called that in a while...
"This Xemnas guy sounds like a brute. Outsiders not particularly welcome?"

"Girl, your crazy." Larxene simply said. The Savage Nymph waved her hand at the windows of the hallway they where walking down. The large glass-less windows dotted the wall, allowing Skell to see the a city beneath the castle. A soft and pleasant breeze drifted through the windows.sprawling dark city that surrounded the castle. Large skyscrapers that seemed to be made out of the very shadows themselves made up the city, and every now and then dark figures could be lurking the streets. "Now those things, they're savages. They're heartless. Probably heard about them before. They like to devour Somebodies just to get to their precious little heart." Larxene lazily said, as she continued down the large hallway.
Larxene paused as she reached the end of the hallway. Two large white doors sat at the end. They where both beautiful and elegant, like the rest of the castle. Larxene's hands rested on the golden handle. It seemed rather odd for the castle, as everything else was a bleach white, but little did Skell know that this was the entrance to the Savage Nymph's room. And Larxene liked to spice things up.
"You know, we're not like you Somebodies." The Savage Nymph said, using the strange term once again. "We Nobodies have nothing. No hearts, scraps of memories, and I promise you in a few days we'll be nothing but a distant memory." Larxene chuckled to herself. "If your still alive...." The woman pause as she slowly turned her head back towards Skell, in a rather robotic and disturbing manner. "And Xemnas doesn't like outsiders because a Somebody killed us all once. Every single one." Larxene said before pulling down the handle with a sharp tug.

The place was nearly blindingly white, harsh with the extreme darkness outside that barely showed the neon-lit cityscape within it. Peering through the window, she spotted the Heartless Larxene was talking about. Yes, she knew of those little guys... not the smartest creatures that she's happened across on the occasion in Twilight Town. The Nobodies she'd encountered weren't much smarter -- but that's because they were of a lesser sort.
Assuming there were more superior sorts. Like this one, here. If this one was a Nobody, and she wasn't just off on a wild goose chase all over again. Yet before she had the chance to grow overly irritated at herself for chasing a hunch blindly, Larxene up and raised her spirits.
"Nobodies~?" pleasure couldn't have been prevented from being heard in that one, weighty word. Somewhat of an evil glimmer sparked in her dark eyes as she feigned indifference, but showed interest. It would be suspicious of her otherwise to not react to someone who admitted they walked without a heart, no?
"But... how can you live without a heart? Or are you being poetic with me?"
Slight grimness crossed her face. Unless this Xemnas guy was a figment of Larxene's imagination, and she was just yanking her chain, Skell had something to genuinely worry about. And she really couldn't see it coming until it hit her, really.
Well, here's to being forever on guard and braced.
"Shame to hear of your demise. But, I mean... you're back now. Which isn't strange... at all... how'd that happen?" Skell crossed her arms and put her weight on one leg, "Hey wait a sec' -- are you just making all of this up?"
She eyed the slowly opening door, but flickered her eyes back to the blonde. She had to play dumb and naïve for a bit. When she was more comfortable and less suspicious, maybe she could open up a bit more...

Zexion exited a Corridor and pulled down his hood, his features drawn taunt in his annoyance. After Larxene left back at Hollow Bastion, he hadn't discovered any leads on Riku, Sora, Kairi, or the state of the other Nobodies. Besides that, the people there tried to pull him into their celebrations more than once, an invitation he quickly rejected every time. His father use to bring him to things like that before the Heartless nabbed him, so he avoided most parties. It wasn't as if he memory caused him emotion pain, since the lack of a heart prevented that, but it consumed his thoughts after awhile if too many things triggered its rise from the back of his mind. With Ansem's betrayal and the death of the others, he had a hard time suppressing it.
He shook his head and turned a corner. The circumstances didn't allow such luxuries as taking a moment to cover up those despicable memories where he reacted on what his heart asked. Logically, it made no sense, and if it made no sense, then he shouldn't take that path, ever. With new resolve, Zexion paused and breathed in the air, the scent of the lesser Nobodies and Heartless filling the air along with the heavy dark scent the world had naturally. Sora had obviously taken a toll on the castle, but it was home. No Somebodies who would ruin things, just Nobodies, people in their right minds. He walked into the next hallway, passing a few dead ends that were meant for the members' rooms and confusing anyone who decided to pay the castle a little visit.
In a place without light, especially since Kingdom Hearts had been wrecked so horribly and its light was less than before Sora's raid, the scent of a heart assaulted Zexion's nose. He spun around on his heels and faced the scent, which came from Larxene's room. He summoned his Lexicon and crept up to the door. How did a Somebody with a heart without a large quantity of darkness manage to find The World That Never Was? Only a Nobody could find it, and no one would think of bringing a Somebody to the castle, especially after the Sora episode. He didn't know all that much about it, but the state of the world spoke for itself.
"But how can you live without a heart? Or are you being poetic with me?" He heard the words and waited a moment more to expel the Somebody. The handle, this was Larxene's room, so she had let a Somebody into the castle, or had someone broken in? Either way, now he faced two if was enemies he faced, so he opened the door cautiously. A woman with dark hair and a red scarf stood with Larxene, talking amiably. Zexion pinched the bridge of his nose and sent his Lexicon away. Of course Larxene would do something like this.
"I can assure you, the entirety of the Organization was vanquished, but that is not your concern," he said in response to the question, his arms crossed and glaring at the two. "Larxene, would you care to explain this? I thought you went to try to eliminate Sora, not play around with Somebodies and risk the security of the castle." He nearly added a line asking whether or not she had turned traitor again, but he learned a long time ago not to push her buttons too far.

She wanted to know what Nobodies where like. The woman took her hand off the door handle, and turned to face Skell. "Ya know how Heartless work, right Red?" Larxene asked, she wasn't really surprised that Skell didn't know too much about Nobodies. It's not like they where common place. "When a Heartless eats the heart, it leaves the body behind. It's normally just an empty shell but sometimes, the mind is strong enough to live on. Cause of all that 'willpower' bull shi-. So then the body gets up, and goes on with their life. But they got no heart, so they got nothing. And in the end their a Nobody. You Somebodies will forget about us, because you can't connect with the hearts. You know those stupid things we don't have."
Larxene wanted to tell Skell about the event that brought her back to life. It was a wonderful feeling, one that Larxene wished she could feel again. The Savage Nymph could only describe it as, having a heart with out all the cruddy parts. The woman opened her mouth to tell Skell what happened, but she was interrupted by one of her 'allies'.
"I can assure you, the entirety of the Organization was vanquished, but that is not your concern."
The Savage Nymph's eyes narrowed as Zexion entered her view. The woman simply glared at him. The term 'allies' wasn't very accurate for the pair. Larxene's brash, and bold mannerism often clashed with Zexion more calculating methods. Larxene's thoughts of bloody murder left her mind when the man questioned her motives for bringing a Somebody into the Castle. Larxene knew she had to think of something quickly, or she would be in trouble. A lot of trouble. Thinking of a plan, that could easily backfire, the Savage Nymph walked up to Skell, grabbed her hands and stared the woman directly into the eyes.
"Because we are lovers. She makes me feel like I have a heart," Larxene lied. The Savage Nymph had no attraction to Red at all, but the half arsed lie was for the best. Larxene wanted to keep her new play toy. And to prove her fake love, Larxene leaned forward. Her lips headed towards Skell's own lips. Larxene hoped that Skell would go along with her fake kiss.

Skell's eyes widened slightly in surprise at the sound of a deeper, drawling male's voice. She turned to face him and suddenly grew a bit nervous. She was definitely getting the vibe that she wasn't welcome here. But the nervousness was combatting with the rush of excitement from seeing another Nobody.
Larxene said she was one of thirteen...
Only eleven more to go.
About to open her mouth to give her wit a crack at getting her out of this situation, but Larxene beat her. She cut her tongue off when the Nobody grabbed her hands and peered into her eyes, granting a bewildered look from Skell.
"What are you..." she muttered under her breath almost inaudibly, eyes then widening when Larxene leaned in with slightly puckered lips.
Oh man, did the thoughts begin rushing at unfathomable speeds to comprehend the situation. Skell understood what game Larxene was playing at. It was to save her ass from getting in trouble with this blue-haired drone. The idea might be handy to saving hers, too, by keeping her at the castle for who knows how much longer. She was lucky that she even landed here at all, the strides she could make in her studies would be invaluable. And perhaps she'd never be able to get the chance again.
But she still was wary of the kiss. It just wasn't her thing. No matter how curious her mind would get, and how deprived of another's touch she was, she couldn't bring herself to allow the kiss to happen. And so, thinking quickly, she took a step back to bump into the door, hand clutching at the handle, and pushed it open.
"Oh well hey~ I'm not one to advertise... moving a little fast for that, don't you think?" Skell looked over at the man, wondering what was going through his mind, "Wouldn't want to make him uncomfortable, now, would we? Unless he likes that... then I see your motive... secret crush on the guy? I thought Nobodies couldn't feel? Perhaps it's just lust?"
Less playfully, but just as kindly, Skell waved at the man, "Sorry to meet you in such an awkward way... I'm Skell. I don't intend to bring any harm to your castle. Promise I'll be good~"
Oh, the implications of that last sentence. She regret it the moment she uttered it, what with Larxene's cover-up plan still possible in motion.

Zexion still couldn't believe Larxene brought a Somebody into the castle. Didn't she recall the last time she placed with a Somebody, when she messed with Sora and ended up as nothing instead of a Nobody? He understood if she wanted to risk her life playing with Sora again, but bring someone to the castle? That crossed so many lines. Before he could lead the person away, Larxene began acting. At least, he hoped she was acting. If she really did like this Somebody, that would erase everything he ever learned about Larxene. She loved herself and caused others pain, that was the image she made for herself.
Yet she leaned forwards and tried to kiss the woman. Zexion's eyes widened. "Larxene, what are you playing at? You don't tolerate affection from Somebodies, let alone love." Fortunately, the woman back away relatively quickly, saving Zexion from enduring the scene. She back up and opened the door, perhaps to escape Larxene. Zexion wouldn't blame her. If Larxene tried that on him, whatever the reason, she'd end up with a book slammed against her face.
The woman looked over at him. "Wouldn't want to make him uncomfortable, now, would we?" she said. "Unless he likes that... then I see your motive... secret crush on the guy? I thought Nobodies couldn't feel? Perhaps it's just lust?" Zexion shook his head, refusing to give Larxene a chance to say otherwise. Who knew what she'd do after giving that performance.
The woman waved at him. "Sorry to meet you in such an awkward way... I'm Skell. I don't intend to bring any harm to your castle. Promise I'll be good~" His eyes narrowed at those words. Her other actions seemed logical enough, other than coming with Larxene in the first place, but promising not to bring harm seemed a little suspicious. Before he could process the information, he noticed a dark scent clinging to Skell. He sighed.
"Either you have been delving in darkness or Larxene brought you through a dark corridor without a cloak. Whichever it is, I suggest you find a cloak before darkness consumes you. Losing a heart to darkness without purpose is a terrible waste. Since Larxene brought you here, I am sure she would not mind providing you with one." He gave Larxene a look that suggested she move and find Skell one. "And after that, you should leave. Larxene has a tendency to break her toys."
He wondered what type of Somebody stood Larxene's cynical nature for a simple trip to a castle that lay in the middle of darkness, a trip that risked the heart. She had no idea what she was dealing with. best remove her from the situation before she hurt herself.

Especially when he saw through her not-so clever ruses. Larxene simply stuck her tongue out at the book worm. She stopped her feet loudly as she made her way towards the door Skell was standing at. With a grunt Larxene lightly pushed the other woman out of the way before slamming her door behind her. It was childish, but Larxene was unsure how to express anger. She wasn't actually angry, but she didn't care for Zexion's company.
The Savage Nymph pressed her back against the door as she quickly examined her room. The room was both large and plain. Only a bed, and a wardrobe could be found in the vast room. The lack of furnishings made the room look rather empty, hollow even. The stark white room was accented with a bit of yellow. Directly across from the door was two large closet doors, which housed Larxene's spare cloaks. Oh yeah, I don't wanna break her yet. Larxene thought upon looking at the closet.
With a soft click Larxene swung the door open. "Come on Red, we gotta get you one of those cloaks," Larxene lazily said, her eyes half closed in boredom. The Savage Nymph looked back at Zexion and once again stuck her tongue out at the boy, he was juts so boring. Leaving the door open Larxene walked back into her room and made her way towards the closet.
Larxene flung the closet doors open revealing a hoard of the black cloaks, most of which varied in size. Larxene looked back towards Skell. "Red, leave the door open. Just so they know we're being 'good'," Larxene giggled. The door wasn't open to prove anything about Larxene. It was an invitation for Zexion. She didn't want to openly invite the book worm, but three heads where always better then two. Or something like that.

[OOC: My sincerest apologies for being so late on this. School, man. :C]
Skell's eyes widened at the blue-haired's suggestion of taking up a black coat to call her own. She could hardly believe it. Was it something they could just easily give away like that? If so, how come she really didn't see other people wearing it? She thought it awful kind of the Nobody to be offering her one, even in a suggestion. Especially after witnessing the hostile nature of Larxene in the bar, she'd figured by then that most other humanoid Nobodies could be as destructive as her.
But Zexion and Larxene's personalities seemed to clash quite a bit to begin with. Guess she was wrong.
And Larxene was going to give her one straight up, too!
Man, was she a bit confused.
Following Larxene into her room, hand on the door to push it softly closed, she immediately ceased once Larxene requested her to keep it open.
"Oh... all right..." Pushing it back so the doorway was completely exposed for Zexion to come on through if he wished to, Skell continued on closer to Larxene. Curious eyes scanned the innards of the otherwise empty wardrobe. It made sense to have more than one coat if one got dirty... who knows how many red coats and white dresses she owned back home.
"Thank you, Larxene..." she accepted the coat and turned it over, wondering if it'd fit her. Larxene was a bit taller than her, so maybe it'd drag on the floor, "Should I wear it now? We're not going anywhere, are we?"

Zexion really wished he had kept his mouth shut and not said anything about the cloak. Perhaps it would have been better if they let her be consumed by darkness and all the knowledge she aquired while visiting them. Ah well, too late now. If they needed or gone or had orders to take care of her later, less direct means would have to be used. Since he helped create this mess by allowing her to stay and suggesting the cloak, he knew it would be his job to fabricate the plan to end her. He sighed. This was why he avoided Larxene.
Larxene opened the door after her childish temper tantrum, inviting Skell in and sticking her tongue out at him again. "You really out to become more adult-like Larxene, or at least behave like a Nobody," he snapped. Already he had grown sick of her charade.
She requested the door stay open, so he leaned on the doorframe and watched them from there. He didn't trust Larxene not to drag Skell away from the castle and out of his sight. This Somebody needed to be monitored, and he would lay money on the side that said Larxene wouldn't do that job.
"You might as well put it on," he said in response to Skell's question. "You should leave now before another member comes and finds you. We wouldn't want that, now would we Larxene? My apologies for any trouble this might have caused you." He almost said 'any trouble that Larxene caused you,' but caught himself. No need to be rude just yet.
He turned his attention to Larxene. "If you decide to pull another one of these stunts with her or anyone else, do not have any doubts that I will report you to Xemnas without hesitation. It is bad enough that you brought someone here once already." He summoned his Lexicon and read one of its texts. Already he had grown tired of her antics, and if he thought he could do it without consequences, he would report her now. He did not tolerate any form of treason, and even if she only wanted to have fun with this woman, inviting a Somebody into the castle counted as treachery in his mind.
