A new moon hung in the black velvet star speckled sky draped above the teen's head as his cyan eyes stared up into the sky from atop one of the numerous sky-scrapers of the city. A light breeze caused his ebony hair to bend and sway, its messy jagged points like inky thorns on a holly bush in the wind. From shoulder to toe the boy was clad in clothing that matched his hair, all of which fit close to his athletic body. A leather jacket sipped tightly shut with matching gloves pants and boots separated the teen from the breast plate, pauldrons, grieves, and gauntlets from his body. On his shoulder he carried a rather unique weapon that his father had given him, the "Shadow Rifle". The teen was armed as a member of the Guardian Base, a mechanic for the flying base.
The teens trained ears twitched as he heard a noise behind him. He spun and aimed the sable gun at a gray Mobian hedgehog. Seeing a Mobian was a rather uncommon appearance in this sector of innerpeace city. Humans tended to live with Reploids away from the Mobians and Digimon who also populated the city.
"Can help you?" the boy asked in a voice that fitted his appearance and the setting of this meeting. His voice cut through the night air like a thin, graceful obsidian knife. The boy showed no emotion towards the mobian.
"You're your father's son alright, Sentenza Hoshizuki." the gray hedgehog replied, in a gravelly voice, weathered and hardened like the voice of a well seasoned warrior.
"How do you know my name?" Sentenza asked, his eyes narrowing at the gray hedgehog. Sentenza for a brief moment doubted himself. This hedgehog talked and looked exactly like a character in bed time stories that his father had told him. "What's your name?" Sentenza asked.
" . . . Grey." the hedgehog replied before curling into a ball and charging at Sentenza. Sentenza teleported out of the way with a technique his father had taught to him, the dark magic "Zero Shift". Sentenza then took advantage of his raise and took a shot at the hedgehog, who easily swerved past the attack, then uncurled, leaped into the air, and dove once again at Sentenza, a gray circular saw headed straight for Sentenza.
Sentenza side stepped this attack, and as Grey began to attack again, Sentenza took careful aim and jumped over the hedgehog, firing down at it. The hedgehog deflected this attack with certain ease with his quills, then changed direction. Sentenza, instead of of countering with gun fire once again, countered with a kick, that sent Grey to the edge of the roof.
Grey uncurled and stood up. "Not bad at all. I hope to see more of you, Hoshizuki." Grey said before leaping off into the night, once again leaving Sentenza to himself.
Sentenza watched as the gray figure leaped from building to building to building, off to the edge of town towards an orphanage. "My father's stories . . . they couldn't have been true, could they?" Sentenza asked before returning to gazing up into the night sky.
Okay, this is a typed version of a webcomic I'll be making with my friend. We have it planned out, we just haven't gone anywhere with this yet. I'd like to see some response to this, and maybe I'll post more of the series like this.
