Here is my overall play with Rain: to either make him an infamous enemy of the Light, or to turn him into a powerful Heartless/Nobody combo that work together.
That being said, I want to ask people a few suggestions that may or may not be cool. And if you have any ideas, I implore you to make them known! I want to make Rain an interesting character that everyone enjoys to RP with or against.
Idea #1: My favorite villain from Kingdom was Xehanort's Heartless, Ansem, Seeker of Darkness. This was mainly from his "Guardian" that hovered above his back that had various other techniques on top of Ansem's own. Therefore, I wanted to make a similar "Guardian" but instead of it hovering above Rain's back it would be more like a shadow. The power of the shadow would be determined by the level of greed Rain has gained. In a sense, it "feeds" off of his own avarice.
Idea #2: The Nobody/Heartless combo. The Nobody would retain all of Rain's skills and attacks but would be an unfeeling fighter. The Heartless however would become much more demonic in appearance and attack anyone who held anything of value. This includes keyblade wielders obviously. The reason why the two would be working together is the symbiosis between the two. The heartless feeds on the avarice in people's hearts while Rain's nobody would have the ability to capture hearts and turn them into power for himself.
