"If the subject fails to respond, use aggression to liberate his true disposition."
Right... Did they ever pick the wrong guy for this one.
LIKES: Thunderstorms (especially the wind that comes from them), sunsets, animals (her wolf like companion especially), some nobodies (oddly enough, she finds them interesting but finds herself more interested in human nobodies and often times feels sorry for them) studying the fighting techniques of others (though she studies techniques, it is rare she uses them because often times she messes them up) companionship
DISLIKES: fighting without cause, heartless (they terrify her) hostility, heights, being alone
STRENGTHS: loyal, compassionate, fast runner
WEAKNESSES: Very emotional at times, self conscious, very predictable in fights
WEAPON(s):A pair of curved tonfa blades
APPEARANCE:: Raya is a young girl of about seventeen years of age and stands roughly five feet and four inches. Her figure is lean and lithe but seems to be very fragile to the touch. Her skin is a little oddly pale and at times she appears rather sickly due to the pale skin and the dark rings that sometimes appears under her eyes. Her eyes are of a deep orchid color and seem to shine with a blissful ignorance. Her hair is long and is a deep colored brown, nearly black even.
Her apparel consists of a dark pair of jeans with silver flame designs on the bottom, a white top with a slight low cut, no shoulders but with sleeves that stretch from the elbow and to about the wrist. Around her neck is a golden chain with a diamond shaped ruby pendant with silver wings sprouting from the sides.
PERSONALITY: When first coming across Raya, one can notice how she tenses up when in the presence of strangers, or the wary look in her eyes when you speak to her. Raya is very cautious around new people and if you want to make any process with her, keep your distance, act natural and do not show any hostility; mainly because if you pose a threat to her, her wolf Silver will attack without question. If Raya feels like you will not harm her, she will lower her guard and actually perk up quite a bit and you will find that she is quite the chatter box. Once you get past her defenses, she can easily be persuaded into friendship.
However, if you are to get Raya to lower her guard, she is now easily susceptible into being deceived by others and can easily be made into doing things that would normally go beyond her moral standards. If she trusts you enough, she will be a little willing into breaking her own code. In order to trick Raya fully though, you will have to convince Silver as well that you are who you want them to believe you are.
If you earn her friendship, Raya will be faithful, trusting and is sure to do everything in her power to make sure you are safe and happy. She also tries to offer advise to those who need it and is the one who will try and cheer you up if something gets you down.
She also has her other flaws, such as a short temper and the fact that her trust can be easily swayed if you give her reason to. Over all, she is one of the better friends you can come across, and you will be fairly lucky to win her trust.
HISTORY: Raya was born into a world known as Analahad; a world of lush forests, royal cities, humble villages, and a world into which you were surrounded by mystical beings both good and bad. Raya grew up in one of the largest capitals in her portion of the world and was home to the Wind Keeper king known as Cyril. For years she grew up alongside her best friend Kyoukan and as they came of age they began training together. On their thirteenth birthdays, the two received very special companions, both of them brother wolves whom were brought to them by the Cadeo Guild. The one Raya was given was known as a Tairiban Tiger wolf, whom when he grew, he would be very large in size, be silver furred and covered in black stripes and a few other feline like attributes such a long tail and cat like reflexes. Raya had named the wolf Silver in honor of his silver coat. Raya's father had explained that Silver would be her spirit guide in the world, and when he was older he would be able to talk and use his special powers to help her when she needed it.
Eventually, Kyoukan had to move into the guild of assassins known as the Arasicuada and for many months Raya could not see him and this distraught her seeing as Kyoukan was her only friend besides Silver. Raya continued to hone her skills which sadly she could never seem to learn to fight with variation of different techniques and so she usually lost her sparing matches with the local guards.
As the years passed, the peace and civility that once held the world of Analahad began to crumble as the rise of heartless became an incredible threat to the world. Raya's home city of Tairibo watched as the countries around them began to fall, and they barely managed to fight of the heartless alone. Shortly after the heartless, the nobodies began to slither their way into the world. For a time, the heartless shifted their attention to the nobodies, and the two creatures clashed constantly, and thankfully, for a time Tairibo was left alone. However, the battles drew closer and closer to the city once more, and soon enough, both factions were within the city, fighting each other as well as the citizens and guards of Tairibo. Now, it is practically unsafe for anyone as are many other worlds.
Constantly, Raya would find herself battling against either heartless of nobodies, and each fight grew more and more difficult for the novice fighter. She knew she could not make it here much longer, and she needed to escape. However, she would not leave without Kyoukan at her side, and so she fled her home in order to find her friend. It did not take her long to find the young assassin and together with their spirit guides they fled Analahad. Unfortunately, the two were separated as they were traveling to a different world due to an attack from the heartless and Raya found herself landing firstly into a town known as Twilight Town. She thought that maybe, Kyoukan had landed there too, and for days she waited and searched, days turned to weeks, and still no sign. However, she feared that if she left Twilight Town, Kyoukan would arrive and she would miss him, and so, faithfully, Raya stayed within the town and thankfully, heartless did not plague the world, the she would run into the nobodies on occasion. Deep in her heart though, she believes her dear friend has been lost, seeing as the attack on their ship was great and she herself barely reached Twilight Town safely. Even today she can be found roaming the streets, searching and hardly speaking to any of the denizens of the town.

The sun slowly climbed it's way to the peak of the sky as noon approached. The morning was spent and mid-day would soon commence. A soft wind blew gently through the trees and the flora beneath them, making them dance to it's slow tune. Beneath the shade of a mighty oak, a young girl sat, one leg outstretched, while the other was propped up with her arm and head resting atop her knee. The wind blew about her long dark brown locks, making them swing towards her orchid colored eyes. Raya batted away the pesky hairs and continued to gaze out into the woods before her. Alongside the young woman was a smaller then average mabari hound with silver streaks embedded within the earthy brown fur.
Raya felt the urge to just simply get away from the hustle and bustle of Denerim and her duties back at the shop. It had been nearly a month since the young woman had managed to break away and come into the shelter of the trees, and she was just simply dying for the freedom. For nearly three hours the woman had sat there in silence, listening to only the sounds of the birds, the wind and whatever animals scurried about the bushes and beyond.
She lifted her head then, and reached out to pat the little mabari on the head, who in turn growled in affection.
"You're such a good boy Hawkes." Raya mused, scratching the lovable lump of fur behind one of his small, pointed ears. She gazed back out into the woods, a song suddenly popping into her mind from when she was a child, and softly she began to sing.
Home is behind the world ahead.
And there are many paths to tread,
Through shadow, to the edge of night.
Until the stars are all alight.
Mist and shadow,
Cloud and shade,
All shall fade,
All shall..fade.
She finished her song with a sad smile. It was a song that she had learned from her father, and it always brought about a strange sense of peace, and it always seemed to make her a little less afraid.
Raya stood up then, deciding that she had rested enough, and she may as well make herself useful and go out hunting while she was here. Pulling out her bow, she began to walk deeper into the woods, her body beginning to tense up as she did so. She remembered encountering the Darkspawn in these very woods, which they were part of the reason why her visits to the little forest grew less frequent. Hawkes was with her however, and he would alert her if there was anything strange out and about.
She froze as a tawny figure caught her gaze. There, standing in the clearing was a large buck, his head was lowered as he munched on the grass, his proud crown of antlers bowing down with his head. Raya's eyes lit with excitment. Now this fella could feed her and her brothers for a few days. She grabbed an arrow from her quiver slowly, not wanting to make any sudden movements. Raya strung the arrow across the string of her longbow and she carefully aimed for the chest of the majestic creature. She hated to kill such beautiful animals, but, it was for survival, and in all honesty, she enjoyed it a little bit, for the thrill of the chase always made her feel so alive. The huntress released the arrow; it zoomed quickly through the air, and pierced into the breast of the buck, but it did not kill it. The stag bellowed in pain and alarm and took off, it's powerful leg's sweeping it quickly through the trees.
"Run celeriter!" (Run swiftly) Raya commanded the mabari, and quickly the hound launched himself after the weakening stag. Even though the beast was losing strength, Raya was still far too slow to fire another arrow at it, but Hawkes could take the buck down quickly and then lead her to it. Slowly, she began to walk in the direction in which her hound and prey disappeared to, listening for them all the while.
