PERSONALITY: Oh my god if you see him coming near you shoot yourself. He's that annoying, as in, he's the whiniest little bitch you'd have the bad luck to hang out with. For one

HISTORY: It's no wonder that Linebeck feels much more at home on the sea than on land; he was raised on a world that was flooded, essentially becoming just a giant sea. And his talent with sailing (or, rather, steering a steamboat) may be thanks partially to genetics- his family has been a family of the sea for more than a hundred years, since even before the world became flooded. He just happens to be part of the family.

He wasn't always obsessed with treasure- for a few years, as a child, he was like a normal kid, more interested in adventure and saving princesses from evil dragons (a.k.a. beating up the fellow little boys of pirates and then proceeding to terrorize the female populace). He learned quite a bit, though not all of it could be described as befitting that of a child, seeing as he lived in what had to be the largest pirate base in the Great Sea. Until it was destroyed, of course.

Taken over, to be precise. Everyone was either forced out or killed, generally the latter, by the monsters that followed, and while his whole family (father, mother, and himself) got out okay, including their ship, most of the people he'd come to regard as relatives perished.Fearing that a warning they received from his mother's sister- who frequently jumped from world to world- was coming true, they made the necessary arrangements to leave their world, the Great Sea. Despite the fact that the same thing had happened in the past about a billion times, and there were no Heartless. But they were scared, and they were worrying about their son who really didn't give a crap what happened. Linebeck was oblivious to it all, practically trying to marry the treasure they'd manage to retrieve from their home.

They're... not really sure if they managed to get to a different world. What they're sure of, is that somewhere along the way, they ran into some enemies in rapid succession (a Sky Whale and a Big Eye Plant, to be precise), and his father was swept overboard, which meant that he probably died. After all, the waters of the Great Sea were, and still are, full of monsters, and Linebeck's father couldn't exactly swim.

To top this off, a storm started up, and the remaining crew members, Linebeck's mother, and Linebeck himself hid inside the hold, eventually falling asleep. When they woke up,
