Height: 61 Inches ( 5'1" )
Weight: 98 Pounds
Hair Color/Style: Blonde / Straight, Falls Down Her Back
Face Claim: Winry Rockbell - FullMetal Alchemist
Brief Overview: Five foot and an inch tall, Adelaide is slightly shorter than the average fourteen year old. Her light blond hair falls down her back, completely straight. Layered and cut so that it frames her face, her bangs sometimes fall in her eyes. Almond shaped, bright blue eyes act as a window to the nothingness that she is supposed to feel as a Nobody. Her nose is small and celestial shaped. Her mouth is thin and nearly always set in a small frown. Her ears are small, rounded, and pierced, normally wearing dangle earrings with diamond-shaped rubies.
She has somewhat pale skin, fair and clear. She doesn't wear make-up like most teenage girls seem to do and she has a lean and slender build. She is ambidextrous, which comes in handy with her dual guns. A silver chain hangs around her neck, though it has no pendant.
When she first awoke, she was wearing a plaid, dark green dress and a dark green band in her hair. She no longer wears that dress, though she does have it put away in case she ever does feel the need to wear it again.
Normally, her attire consists of red, black, and white. Battle attire. A white dress shirt, covered by a red vest, and a black skirt are her main articles of clothing. There's a white scarf around her neck, brown belt around her waist, black boots on her feet, and black gloves on her hands.
Now and again, she can be found in some other attire. From formal to informal, pants to dresses. It all depends on the occasion.
In the way of jewelry, aside from her earrings and necklace, she also wears a silver chain around each wrist and each ankle.
A small brown bag attached to her belt holds her hygiene products, music player, and her favorite little plushie. Her headphones are always visible, either covering her ears or hanging from her bag.
Of course, it's quite possible that you'll see her wearing something else entirely, but for conveniences purpose we won't go over everything here.

Weapons: Phoenix - Keyblade
A blade crafted specifically for Adelaide. A beautiful blade made solely of flames, undying and unmoving. The weapon is vaguely iridescent and glows faintly, as if lit from within by an ethereal light.
Phoenix is a weapon built for magic, capable of maximizing a spells potential. The flames that form the blade can leave burns or scorch marks on whatever it touches, as well as set things like paper and cloth on fire.
With all good things, though, there is a downside. While exceptional for casting fire magic, it is quite susceptible to water and a strong enough blizzard spell can put a dent in it's attack power.

Royal & Zero (Referred to Simply as Royal Zero) - Dual Guns
Similar to Gunblades in that they are bladed guns, these weapons are also quite different. Magic and close-ranged melee attacks are the only use of these guns as they do not fire actual bullets. When fired, magical energy that is channeled into the barrel of the weapon being fired is released in the form of a spell. This being so, the weapons are useless to those who prefer long-ranged attacks and are no good with magic. Royal & Zero being the last pair of Dual Guns in existence means that very few people no how to utilize their abilities, as most would assume it shot normal rounds and wouldn't know how to channel their magical energy into the barrel.
- Strength: +1 (Zero) // +1 (Royal)
- Magic: +1 (Zero) // +1 (Royal)
- Defense: +1 (Zero) // +1 (Royal)
Overview:
There are two sides to Adelaide. There's her usual stoic and reserved side, then there's her soft and sweet side. The latter side being seen very rarely and only by those she trusts.
Courageous and determined, it could be said that she doesn't fear anything. The truth is, though, that she just wants people to think that of her. She's honest and finds it difficult to tell a good and convincing lie. Realistic, she doesn't usually think outside the box and tends to go with the simplest method of achieving whatever goal she happens to have. She's intelligent and observant and she usually stays alert no matter where she is. Quick, calm, and resilient, she doesn't give in but she will run from a battle she knows she can't win. Being as determined as she is though, she'll stick around in a fight if there's even the smallest chance she'll succeed.
She likes quite places and enjoys reading things like science fiction novels and just about and Manga she can get her hands on. Rock music is something she listens to quite often while she does other tasks. She's a sucker for sweets, especially chocolate, and her favorite colors are orange and black. Spaghetti is her favorite food of all time and she prefers it with extra sauce. She has a strange attraction to canines because of their soft fur and she secretly adores plushies (which she has quite a few of).
Offensive magic is the area where she is most talented, though she's also fairly adept at close-ranged melee. Having no actual heart (despite the heartbeat) makes it quite difficult for any normal weapon to kill her and she has mastered the use of the dark corridors.
Some of her darker traits include being rebellious. She doesn't like taking orders and she doesn't like others looking down on her. Distant and guarded, she tends to keep quite and is suspicious of the people around her. She's very stubborn and doesn't always let go of her ideas and feelings. An experienced fighter, she can still be a bit impatient with things, though she has started to get stronger physically. She is a bit clumsy at times, a little naive about some things, and is prone to slight moodiness from time to time.
She dislikes paperwork even though she doesn't mind physical labor. She thinks rap music is stupid and pointless and she's not a fan of bitter foods. Crowded areas are usually avoided by her and she really doesn't like vegetables, though she still eats them anyway. Not being taken seriously just because of her 'age' really gets on her nerves and she hates pink and yellow because they are too bright. She doesn't really like cats even though they have soft fur but she doesn't mind them too much either.
Though gifted with magic, she's not too great with defensive spells and the like. Being unable to swim, she tends to stay away from any body of water larger than a tub and too much sunlight hurts her eyes so she tends to simply stay out of it.
On another note: She's pretty laid-back a lot of the time and she doesn't ally herself with the darkness like most people might assume. She thinks of herself as a neutral presence, doing what she thinks is appropriate. She can still be immature at times, though this is rarely seen.
Her stoic face tends to give the impression that she's grumpy but that usually isn't the case at all.
Now for her softer side. As rare as it is to witness her softer side, it is still there. She's reluctant to show just how sensitive she is and it's only after gaining her trust that she'll even consider showing her inner colors. Deep down, she's sweet and caring with an affectionate and thoughtful nature. Her love of plushies, if you were ever lucky enough to find out about that, is proof that this side of her exists; which is why she keeps that secret so heavily guarded.

Homeworld: Traverse Town
Overview:
Adelaide was born in the second district of Traverse Town, the result of a Heartless attack upon an eight year old girl.
Even without a heart of her own to feel with, she still has a heartbeat and can express emotions just like any normal human. Of course, it wasn't like that in the beginning.
When she was first born from the darkness she cold feel nothing but the coldness of the endless blackness surrounding her. Small and alone, she didn't know anything about herself and she didn't understand any of the memories that she retained. She spent months this way, afraid to move from where she sat, worried that something may happen to her if she did. Eventually though, her solitude was disturbed.
The Heartless appeared.
A curiosity within her was sparked and she followed the little Shadows about for a long time, eventually finding an opening in the dark abyss that led to a land of twilight. Even the dim rays of the moon hurt her eyes for a long time but she got used to it after some time. She didn't know where she was and she still didn't know who she was, so she continued to follow the strange creatures around. Until something stopped her.
The sun came up.
The brightness of the fiery ball burned her eyes and she was forced to find shelter from the rays. She ended up in a small house, abandoned and left in shambles. She knew it was the Heartless at fault, though she wasn't sure how. And then she found herself wishing that those little Heartless were there with her. She was alone again. Alone in a strange place she didn't know. She found an empty corner of the room and sat there, face buried in her arms much like when she had sat alone in the darkness.
Until he showed up.
She heard the sound of footsteps first and, not long after, felt the vibration of someone approaching. The feet stopped a yard or so away from her and she found herself looking up at him with a courage she hadn't known she possessed. What she saw was a body dressed in a black cloak, hood covering it's head and obscuring it's face from view. If it had never spoken, she may not have realized it was a man.
He was there to help her.
Or that was his claim. She didn't believe him for a second. He spoke to her in a cold voice, not seeming to really care what he was telling her. And what was he telling her? He was telling her what she was. A Nobody. A heartless being that walked the worlds with no real purpose. A child born of darkness, he told her. Someone who didn't really matter to the universe, someone who could disappear with no one noticing.
A leftover.
His words angered her, though she kept a level head. The first name to leave the mans lips was that of her Somebody. Kadence Faithe Rae. The second was her name. Adelaide Phoenyx Rae. He never gave his own. He claimed his name wasn't important to her and, though she said nothing of it, she agreed with that. She didn't need to know his name. He said it himself that she'd never see him again once he left.
"I suggest you get stronger. Only the strong survive in this universe."
Those were the man's last words as he dropped a black cloak like his own to the ground before her and turned away. She watched as he created a portal and then disappeared from sight. For a long time, she sat there and stared at the now empty space before her. She wasn't quite sure what to do. She didn't know how to go about training. And what was she training for anyway? Wasn't she just some leftover? That's what he had called her. A Nobody.
The moon rose again.
Thinking about the mysterious man's harsh words is what made her stand. She would prove that she wasn't just some weak, heartless creature. She would get stronger and survive whatever waited for her out there. And with those thoughts in mind she found herself pulling on the cloak he had left her and heading down the street. She had no real destination until she saw those strange little creatures again.
The Heartless.
One of the creatures in particular caught her eye. It moved to her side and didn't wander off like the others. And what's more, it was leading her some place. Not sure why she was doing so, she trusted the Shadow and followed it into the woods. The darkness didn't bother her at all like it might have bothered most people. A good thing since it got darker and darker as she followed the creature deeper.
There were ruins.
Stone pillars, a toppled and broken stone roof. Stone stairs that led down into the earth. Down. That's were the creature was leading her now. Down into the dark depths of the ruins. She found a corridor at the bottom of the stairs, long and barren save for the many columns that must have been holding the roof in place. Many columns were broken, toppled over. Part of the ceiling had fallen to the floor, the earth they had once held up piled up to the roof.
Doors.
There were many doors on either side of the passage but the creature didn't bother with any of them. It lead her further down the corridor until a large oaken door stood before her. When the Shadow scratched at the door and then disappeared into the darkness, she was left alone for a third time. Taking the creatures actions as incentive, she moved to push the door open.
It was heavy.
The room was square and rather large. A column in each corner and four more creating a big square in the middle of the room. And in the middle of that square the columns made? A stone box. A double coffin. That's what she thought at least. Shoving the heavy stone lid off of the box took quite a lot of effort and quite a bit of time. Eventually though, she got it moved.
Treasures.
That was the first thing she saw. Then she saw the skeleton on the other side. She didn't focus on that for too long though, as the Shadow was back at her side. It climbed up into the box and rummaged around in the goodies it held, stopping now and then to look up at her. But she didn't know what it wanted. So she couldn't help it. The creature found what it wanted after a few minutes.
Bladed guns.
It held them up to her and she took them without a seconds hesitation. She wasn't sure how, but she knew what they were. Dual Guns. She knew their names. Royal and Zero. The left and the right gun respectively though they were interchangeable. It wouldn't matter which hand she held them in, they'd work the same either way.
Her powers came just as naturally.
Without knowing how, exactly, she did it, she conjured up a dark portal of her own. A dark corridor. A passage to other locations and other worlds. Despite knowing how to use her own abilities, she couldn't figure out how to use the dual guns. No matter what she tried it wouldn't shoot and there was no way to load it that she could find. It was that same helpful Shadow that told her what to do.
"Use magic."
Even with that knowledge, it took months for her to figure it out. And once she did, she began to train herself. Not only with magic though. No, that wouldn't have been enough to survive. She began to work on strengthening her body as well. She trained her ability to utilize the blades of the two guns as well. It was a lot of hard work. It took a lot of time.
She had all the time in the world.
She spent the next five years traveling wherever the dark corridor took her, training herself against whatever tree she could find. But it wasn't enough. She would soon find that out. Practicing wasn't going to make her strong. Real battles were the only true way to do that. She'd end up finding that out the hard way.
In Port Royal.
She had done nothing more than wonder along the outskirts of the town. But she wasn't the only one there. A violent man with a lust for blood issued a warning just seconds before coming at her, a sword held in his hand. She wasn't strong enough yet. He overpowered her and all she could do was dodge his blows. In the end, she was forced to leave that world behind and return to the darkness once again.
In that darkness, she wondered on to the next world.
It's been fifty-some-odd years since that day and she has gotten stronger. Battles here and there, training. She even fought for a time in the last Universal War. And now? Well, another war is on the horizon. The darkness is beginning to spread again. And after so many years of peace, she needs to start training again. Because after so long of no battles, one tends to get a bit rusty. And her skills could definitely use a tune up.
