Brief Overview:Four foot and four inches tall, Katashi is quite a bit shorter than the average thirteen year old boy. His brunette hair falls to his shoulders, parted on both sides and leaving a bit of bang hanging in the middle. His eyes themselves are blue-green, sometimes more of one color than the other. He is very small and fragile-looking, leading to him appearing to others as a girl (an assumption that isn't helped at all by the pins in his hair or the way that he sometimes dresses). His skin is a bit pale, clear of any blemish. Despite how it may look at times, he doesn't wear any makeup. He is left handed and wears a silver ring on that hands' pinky.
Most often, he is found wearing girly attire. One of the most common being a maid costume complete with the skirt and slightly heeled shoes. Another of his favorite outfits is a pink kimono. It's unclear why he wears these sorts of clothes, though it's assumed to be because of his girly appearance.
Though quite rare, he does dress up from time to time in a suit. And on other occasions he'll wear jeans and a tee shirt or shorts and a tank top.
Other than the ring on his left pinky, he doesn't wear any other jewelry unless there's a special occasion that calls for it. He also doesn't tend to carry around any bags and, therefore, doesn't carry anything with him that he can't just hold in his hands.
His canine form, a young wolf, had dark brown fur. He's rather fluffy, especially his ears and long tail. His in-between for give him his human appearance with pointy elfish ears to go with his fluffy brown ears and tail.[/left][/size]

Overview:
Katashi isn’t your ordinary 13 year old boy. Aside from his rather feminine appearance and choice of clothing, he also likes a lot of things typically associated with girls; sweets, flowers, plushies and dresses for example. He also has an aversion to things that label him as ‘girly’ such as spiders and most bugs. He’s not ashamed of any of it though, even if he does get picked on for it.
He’s a sweet boy who likes to have fun. He’s very playful and friendly, preferring the company of others over being by himself. He’s very honest as well, preferring not to mix words even though he sometimes hesitates. He doesn’t like hurting people so it’s not rare that he keep certain opinions to himself. Of course, just because he doesn’t like hurting people, doesn’t mean he won’t tell them the truth when they ask for it. He actually has trouble lying, even when he wants to.
Being small, he’s quite agile and can maneuver very well when he needs to. Despite that, he doesn’t like small confined spaces. He’s a softie when it comes to chocolate, puppies, and kittens. And anything sweet of cuddly, really. Even though he’s commonly seen in a maid costume, he doesn’t actually like cleaning at all, finding it tedious and boring. And he really doesn’t like to be bored. He’d much prefer to play sports or video games, or playing any other games. He also likes to spend his time coloring, listening to music, reading Manga, or watching Anime.
It’s rare for him to listen to music without humming or singing along, and even when he doesn’t have any music playing he often hums any tune that pops into his head. He’s quite fascinated with magic and he also loves looking up at the stars in the sky. When it rains, he likes playing in it or jumping in the puddles afterwards. He tends to drink soda most often, though he also drinks a lot of water. He also really likes cereal, especially Kix and Fruit Loops. Chances are, you’ll hear him use a really long word now and then. He tends to stick to ones he knows the meaning of, typically throwing out a random fact about it.
Despite liking most fruits, he doesn’t like bananas at all. And along with that, he also hates vegetables. Though he has a fascination with magic, he doesn’t find fighting interesting at all. He prefers loose clothes over anything tight, aside from his socks and whatnot. He’s never really cared for dinosaurs and he doesn’t like thunder or lightning. He stays away from pointy objects whenever he can and he really doesn’t like bullies or clowns at all. He also hates it when he gets a nosebleed.
He’s very loyal, sometimes to a fault. Once he gets attached to someone, he doesn’t like to let them go. He’ll follow someone around anywhere if it meant sticking close to them. Some people might find it annoying, but he can’t help it. When he really likes someone, he quite likes any kind of physical contact. On the other hand, if he doesn’t like someone, he’ll do all he can to keep them from touching him. Likewise, if he doesn’t like someone he also doesn’t like undressing in front of them, be it a jacket or his top or anything else. But if he does like someone, it doesn’t bother him any.
With that fun-loving attitude of his, you probably wouldn’t suspect that he actually likes punishment games. Of course, it depends on who’s giving out the punishment and what it is, but overall he likes them. He’s only experimented a bit so far and he finds that he likes girls more so than guys. With guys, though it’s rare he finds a guy that he likes that way, he likes things more on the rough side. A little bit of pain here and there, being tied up, things like that. Girls are a different story though, because he likes being gentle with them. Or, well, that’s what he thinks so far. Really, though, he doesn’t have enough experience with them to know for sure. Actually, he doesn't have much experience with either... yet.
Along with everything else, he has a few fears that make him come off as more childish and girly. Tonitrophobia. He gets scared during storms because of the thunder that tends to accompany them. He tends to hide away in a corner, wrapped up in a blanket and covering his ears. Nosocomephobia. He absolutely hates hospitals. The sanitary smell that accompanies the building makes him feel sick and he always gets the urge to run when he’s faced with a doctor. Achluophobia. He still has a nightlight. Or rather, he did before his home was destroyed. All the same, he doesn’t like the dark and has to have some kind of light or he starts freaking out. His aversion to small confined spaces is pretty close to being a fear too, as he freaks out if he ever finds himself in one.

Overview:
Romura is a somewhat large world covered in a warm thick fog for much of the year. Steam Valley is just that, a valley of warm fog that the inhabitants call Steam. It's a large valley with many underground paths and a mostly barren surface. The Steam protects the people of Romura from the intense and deadly rays of the sun. It is said that any who step outside of the protective Steam die within seconds. Temperatures during spring, summer and autumn range between 100 and 150 degrees while the temperatures during the winter range between negative 50 and negative 100 degrees. The normal human inhabitants have learned to deal with the extreme temperatures over time, living underground where the temperatures can be controlled. The Shifter race changes form in order to survive on the surface, though not all can stand the temperatures.
More than fifty years ago it was said that Romura was consumed by darkness, it's people wiped from the history books. Somehow, many years later, the world reappeared. Little by little, life also returned to it. The terrain an whether didn't change, but the people did. The world became inhabited by shifter alone. This was a new shifter race though. Unlike the shifter of long ago, these preferred their human forms above all others. Not only that, they were also more completely human.
Katashi and his fraternal twin sister were no different. He was born human and, though smaller than was average, grew normally. He didn't know his parents, only that they hadn't been expecting children and certainly hadn't wanted any. He wasn't alone though. He was left in the care of the village. And he found out early on that the majority of the village had been just like him.
He was always rather feminine, sometimes wearing girls clothes because he found them more comfortable. This often led to him being teased, but he never let it get to him. He wanted to be himself, he wanted to be like for who he was. So when it was how out, he wore the coolest thing he could find. It was the same thing when the weather turned cold, he grabbed whatever was warmest.
It wasn't until he was thirteen that his animal side awoke and he went through his very first transformation. It was painful, like everyone's first time tended to be. It seemed to take forever. The people of the village helped him through it with encouraging words and comforting songs that had been passed down since the beginning of the worlds rebirth.
Once it was over, even though he continued his feminine tendencies, his peers stopped picking on him. Transforming for the first time set you apart from anyone else who hadn't. And even among others who had, there was a certain level of respect. It also mean that you weren't a child anymore, no matter you age.
Having gone through his first transformation, Katashi wouldn't age normally anymore. After the first change, the aging process for shifters slowed down immensely. He didn't look forward to getting any taller for a good few years. Which, really, didn't bother him too much anyway.
He had only learned a little bit about shifting between forms when his world was turned upside down. Walking through on of the many caves throughout Romura, he suddenly found himself falling. He fell and fell, or at least that's how it felt to him, until he passed out. He woke up in Twilight Town, though it took a while to find out it's name.
And that's where he is now. Trying to find out everything he can and, now that he knows what all's out there, hoping to travel around a bit. But he's not big on going out into the unknown all by himself. So maybe he'll find someone to travel with. Or he'll just suck it up and head off by himself. Who knows, maybe he'll find his sister again somewhere along the way. He sure hopes so.
