Age:26
Gender:female

Sexual Orientation:Well she seems to have inherited a general distrust of men from her mother. Meeting her father did not help either.

Height:6'5"-6'8" normally, 7' when in her armor
Weight:175 lbs, over 1k lbs with the armor
Hair Color/Style:Blue, normally kept worn up but hangs down past her shoulders.
Face Claim:Natsuru Senō (female form)
Brief Overview: Although compared to her fellow Spartans, Rebecca appears fairly short, she’s actually incredibly tall outside of her armor, standing somewhere between 6’5 and 6’8. She has an unusual natural hair color of dark blue, a side effect from an experiment her father did using her and her mother before Rebecca was actually born, her eyes almost matching her hair in their shade of blue. Typically, She wears any sort of pants and a t shirt, though honestly either way she’d much rather be in her armor, since without it she actually feels naked. However, she is oblivious to the fact that outside of her armor, she’s actually a very attractive girl, and that most people need surgery and such to have her body. She has two tattoo’s, one on each soldier typically obscured if she wears any kind of shirt with sleeves, on her right shoulder, above the area of lighter skin from the plasma burn as a child, is a tattoo of the Spartan insignia, and on her left a more recent one of a fairly detailed drop pod, and the 105th’s motto of “Feet first into hell” below it, and “Lt Snow” written above, and on the drop pod if you get a close enough look, the Spartan logo is on part of the hatch in white, but only people who get really close can really see it (and good luck with that).
When in her armor though, it’s fairly noticeable because of it’s white color, mixed with the black under layer which house most of the advanced systems of the suit, including the crystal gel circuitry that allows an AI such as Vira to exist within her suit. Another thing that stands out is her visor, which when polarized, is blue in color (something she had intentionally done, not fond of the gold orange, and a decision to make the unique blue of her eyes and hair her own). Her height in the suit pretty much evens out at almost a full 7’ tall, and quite honestly if she has the faceplate polarized, looks like a terrifying armor clad monster to most people. Although there are certain hint’s within the armor of a more female form when standing next to her male comrades, it’s hard for most people to tell she’s actually a woman beneath it, especially given you can’t see key features that would clue you in. Unless she takes the helmet off, speaks, or for some people depolarizing the face plate is enough to reveal she is in fact a woman.
While she does prefer to mess with locals by using the speakers in Rebecca’s suit, has relented to making herself visible if it’s safe to do so (and Rebecca wont be attacked for being a witch or something). Her form is of a female usually wrapped in a fur with long white hair, and pale blue skin. She sometimes has the hood up to cover her face some, but typically keeps it down, Ai or not she’s proud of her appearance, least what she’s willing to show of it.

Likes: That her father cant move, her comrades, her mother, her armor, being a Spartan, helping others, her mentor.
Dislikes: Covenant, rebels, her father, when she can’t wear her armor, those who believe anyone is expandable, glory hounds
Strengths: terrifyingly strong, very fast, immeasurable reflexes, perceives things faster or slower than they are actually occurring, incredibly smart.
Weaknesses: overly protective, can lose her temper (and control of her strength soon follows), plasma weapons, magic (both used against, and a current lack of magic ability
Weapons:
Primary - Honor guard blade - She found that this version was actually used by elite honor guards around 2531, though, she took it off of a brute in a fight. It blends in slightly better with most of these worlds that don’t use fire arms, and because it doesn’t use ammo, which making herself is quite a pain. (only thing I can find that has the weapon, cant find still pics, its what the elites that fight the Spartans are using www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_cRZ24BVKM)
M6C/SOPMOD and M6 custom - A pair of pistol’s that Rebecca always carries, either attached to magnetic hard points at her thigh/waist or concealed in civilian clothes, one is a standard issue M6C/SOPMOD that is typically issued to ODST’s. The other is one of two guns she built from scratch (the other given to her mother), based on the C variant of the pistol. IT looks similar to the SOPMOD, but lacks the suppression system, and is colored white (to go with her nickname snow and her armor), trading off the stealth for the increased power of later models of the weapon such as the G variant, good against an opponent with shields and devastating to a flesh and bone target.
Reserved - MA5C PCWS - The newest variant of the MA5 assault rifle, being similar in design to the MA5B variant, however redesigned to one again hold a 60 round magazine, as well as improved systems for less recoil when fired in full auto, and higher general accuracy. She carries it very sparingly, since she has very limited ammo for it, where as it’s much easier to find rounds on other worlds for her two pistols.
Overview: Rebecca is fairly outgoing, at least by Spartan standards, being far more willing to talk and converse outside of her little family. She lacks the coldness many of them have, and is typically a very warm and caring person, some Spartans referring to her as “Big sister” for fun or as part of a code, given that other than seeming to know what there doing and planning and being 3 steps ahead (basically a play on the term “Big Brother”) she’s constantly looking out for them, and acts more like a big sister than a fellow soldier at times. She’s more inclined to put the greater risk on herself than she is anyone else, and isn’t above going out of her own way by a lot to help other’s (she suffered a demotion for halting the ship she was on travel to aid a ship in distress and bring the survivors on board, the story was leaked before she returned from the actual mission so they couldn’t out right dismiss her and sucked up on the good publicity for a change).
She tries to look on the bright side of things, and usually tries to smile. She is very determined, and at times down right stubborn, but that’s because she also hates to lose. While she admittedly will playfully flirt with girls, or with ones she knows that are fine with it certain playful physical contact, she tends to punch guys who get too flirty with her or can’t keep there hand’s to herself. She does have a bit of a temper if you can actually manage to get her angry, which is really not recommended. Though, the one good thing is that unless you make her angry, she’s actually a bit more of a loose playful drunk. As much as she tries to avoid it though, she really likes her rum and beer and all. Not much has really changed for her over the year it's been for her, aside from the fact she has a hatred of people who think more of their own glory than what there doing, but she does have a valid reason.

Mother:___________ Victoria
Father:________ _________
Siblings:None, but the other Spartans are close enough
Homeworld:Belfast, Ireland, Earth, Halo Universe
Overview: Rebecca never knew who her father was, seeing as he left her mom sometime before she was born. The only person she knew of raising her was her mother, who constantly took her to work with her since she was a scientist at a UNSC lab located in Belfast, Ireland. Though as her mom would later joke “But you got all are ancestors genes apparently” seeing as her family line started somewhere in Sparta before the events of Thermopylae. With what little experience she had with other kids her age, she was typically made fun of because of her blue colored hair, something she never understood till a few years later. But when she asked her mom about whether she was a freak because of it, she was told they were just jealous and brushed it to the side after that. Though, that didn’t stop her being made fun of for other reasons, having learn to read early. Though unlike her peers, she read her mom’s research notes and books instead of the typical children books. But as much of a nerd as she may have seemed, she still had plenty of fight in her, taking down older boys who picked on her and joining games of king of the hill even if they didn’t want her to. Though, it was occasionally called “queen of the hill” since she constantly got to the top and stayed there. Other than constantly being suspended for fighting, the girl had a fairly normal life as far as she was concerned. Though, when the covenant attacked earth itself when she was 6, She was stuck in the lab with her mom as it came under fire.
At one point, the building was breeched by the covenant forces, and her and her mom found themselves pinned down by a brute and several grunts. The two of them were terrified, but before she realized a wall next to the grunts burst and most were knocked out or killed by the debris, and the others fell to the loud sound of gun fire. When she looked up a strange figure in green colored armor was standing there, fighting the brute hand to hand where several marines with guns had failed and fallen, watching as the strange figure managed to kill it with it’s bare hands. She of course thought it was some robot that was protecting them, but than noticed that it was injured and it seemed to be bleeding. They were escorted out of the building to an evac pelican where due to the injuries, the strange new person was forced to stay as well. Rebecca was surprised when the helmet came off to reveal a woman beneath it. Her mom started to treat her wounds, explaining to Rebecca what she was looking at, one of the Spartan III’s. Though, the woman admitted openly to Rebecca and her mom that it was sort of strange but nice that while she was so young, Rebecca wasn’t terrified of her and all like most people were.
Rebecca had suffered a minor burn from being to close to a missed shot from a plasma pistol, so she and the Spartan ended up stuck in the same hospital since after the attack there were few places for the injured to be treated. She actually made good friends with her… or as well as you could make with a Spartan, spending as much time as she could around her and even after she was discharged visiting her since she was still in there. Her mother had plenty of notes both on the II’s and the III’s that she poured over, asking the Spartan questions, but only receiving a handful of answers, child or not many things were still classified. The day before the Spartan was discharged, she gave the Spartan a pendant like one she wore to protect her, the Spartan seeming to take it just to make her happy, and she didn’t see her at all after that day.
Over the next few years, she not only physically trained a lot, wanting to be strong and taking every martial art’s class she could, but helped her mom as much as she could with her own work, being exceptionally bright for her age. Though, she learned at age 11 what exactly her mother was doing. She knew so much about the Spartan’s because she was working on a new program, Spartan IV, which while she learned how people were “recruited” decided to keep helping, because while the war was officially over, the fighting wasn’t done. There were still skirmishes with brutes and others of the covenant that still believed in their great journey, and it also turned out that not everyone on planets glassed by the covenant were killed. Expeditions to see how habitable some were turned up survivors, many mad that they had been abandoned, many on earth angry that their loved ones could have been saved, but ended up dying left on barely habitable worlds. Not only was the UNSC fighting a whole new rebellion, but the remnants of the covenant that were giving them a hard time.
But her mom’s research was constantly shoved aside because of the “successfulness” of the Spartan III program. But the idea of disposable super soldiers made both Rebecca and her mothers stomach churn, especially after what had happened when she was 6. Her mother had gotten a working prototype working of the so called “Mjolnir mk VII” armor, but the problem was that she still needed to prove that her changes to the procedures were every bit as effective as Spartan II’s, but still cost as much or even less than Spartan III, as well as a matching success rate. The idea had come across her mind to try it on her daughter who was in the right age group, but was not going to do it to her. That was until about her 13th birthday, when Rebecca told her mother she wanted to undergo the procedure. Her mother was reluctant of course, but the child had a simple argument. “If you don’t come up with something, you lose your job, and what your trying to do is make it so people aren’t used as throw away weapons and keep others safe, I want to be strong like that lady from the lab and help other’s like she helped me”. Her mother of course refused still initially, but her daughter was determined and stubborn about the fact she wanted to go through with this. Even though she knew all the risks and that she would have to endure a lot of pain, she finally convinced her mom to use her as a test subject.
During her recovery, the most unlikely of people showed up while her mom was out of the room. Her father came in, and sat next to her, having a laugh that her mom had gone and done the very thing she had yelled at him for. When she inquired, Rebecca’s father told her to her face he had given her mom things to alter her while she was developing. He could only guess at some of the things she had like her unusual intelligence and all being linked to it, but the clear things were her strength as a child and her hair were part of it. But hearing that, and that her mother was now as much a monster as him sent her through the roof. The cords for the monitors were yanked out as she grabbed his throat and managed to not only stand for the first time since the augmentation process, but lift him with only the one hand over her head. By the time her mother and the other doctor’s got there in a panic that she was flat lining, her father came crashing through the large window to her room and into the hallway as she shouted “I volunteered for this, you didnt give me or mom a choice for your monstrous experiment. Her mother actually vaulted the wall and remaining glass into the room to calm Rebecca down while security guards escorted her father away. Reluctantly she went back to laying in the bed, wanting to rip her father’s head off… a feat she was probably more than capable of even in her weakened state. Though, she shoved her mother as she caught site of him and the round he got off missed, This was the first time she realized that things didn’t seem to be moving at the right speed, they were moving slower, something her mother later told her was referred to as “Spartan time“. She sprung out of the bed, moving to avoid where her father was aiming but keeping him from getting a clear shot on her mom, she dove through the opening before security got to him, her mass and momentum slamming into her father. They had to take him away on a stretcher, where she later learned slamming into him and than him going against the wall had broken several of his ribs, the arm he’d had been holding the gun in was pulverized, and the damage to his spine was irreparable and that he was paralyzed from the neck down. Neither Rebecca or her mom was really upset about it, they just wanted to make sure Rebecca wasn’t going to be charged with anything, considering right before she hit him a round had hit her shoulder. They got the clear, especially since he was actually WANTED by the UNSC for his illegal experiments.
Even before she was fully done rehabilitation, she was forced to adapt to the suit and demonstrate both her own and the armor’s capabilities in front of UNSC brass. Even though it was clear she wasn’t 100%, she exceeded their expectation’s. Without her armor on, she could run a good 33 mph, and with it managed to exceed 40, though her mother had warned her to take it easy, since one Spartan had been clocked at over 60 mph, but had actually managed to tear a muscle doing so. Her strength actually surpassed that of the Spartan II’s, bare handed and in armor, easily able to lift 5 times her body weight (with both hands), and actually able to lift and carry a warthog in the armor. Not to mention trials against weapons where she bent the turret of a scorpion using a 105mm barrel, and actually brought down a hornet using a piece of sheet metal she ripped from the tank (both pilots managed to safely eject), and every test they threw at her she dominated, with both the encouragement and fear that she wasn’t even functioning at 00% and was still adapting to the armor and changes.
They were initially going to have the work done on the recruits for the newest generation of Spartan III’s and give Rebecca a nice place to stay away from the general populace, since a girl being used as a test subject for the military would have simply fueled the flames. However, she threatened she’d go forward with all she knew about the Spartan programs, and her mother even said she wouldn’t aid them and give them her research unless her daughter was folded into the training program and became a Spartan. It shocked Rebecca that her mother was on her side about becoming a full Spartan, and they relented, making it apparent that she was going to have to catch up on a good 8 years of training the other’s had received.
Once there, she found out that her instructor was none other than the woman who had saved her and her mother 8 years ago, her injuries had caused her to be pulled from full service, but she was still more than capable of training and fighting. And while she was only maybe at 85%, the only way to prove she could be in the program was to perform well enough that the more experienced Spartan would let her in. The fight was without armor, so it was down to their abilities and skills, the years of martial arts training actually paying off. She was still a bit clumsy from the augmentation, her body still reacting faster than she was used to and other such things, but the Spartan was more than impressed with what she could do, though in secret, she confided that Rebecca could have been abysmal in the fight and she would have allowed her to join, stating that “Anyone that willing goes through that process at your age with none of the preparation we received deserves to be a Spartan and has already earned the title.”
During the period where the other’s were undergoing the augmentation process and rehabilitation, she was cramming in years worth of missed lessons as best she could, surprisingly caught up for the most part by the time the other’s were finally done with their rehab and ready to get back to training. Because she was an outsider, they initially kept her out, and because she had been around “normal” people, she was a lot different than the other’s, more openly showing emotion and such things. She dealt with having to be the lone wolf type, but she finally got to a point of frustration, and on a training mission, punched the groups leader out and threatened to continue her assault if he didn’t include her in the plans. So he stood up and said “Welcome to the team”, since she made it clear she wanted to be one of them, part of the team and not just some lone wolf glory hound. After that she blended right in, other than jumping to the top of the class for being intelligent and all. Her mother of coursed watched over the old thing much as her old professor had watched over her own Spartan’s, coming to the conclusion that her daughter “Was born to be one of them”. She seemed to have a natural gift for thinking, fighting, and leading, all things she had shown since she was a little girl.
By the time they got to graduation, they had made her a chief petty officer, and gave her the option to hand pick a special team that would go under the designation Omega for a team name. Though, the last thing she needed was a designation, one that the very boy she punched out a couple years before suggested, and the rest agreed. They had all been designated as Delta company, and given numbers starting in 4, so she became Delta 4-1, though for official records, a zero was added in since all designations were a greek letter, and three trailing numbers. She picked the best of the best in their fields, and they were the first to see action of the new Spartan 4’s. Two brute ships had gone to a decolonized world and taken over, locals putting up a resistance, but the majority of what was left of the UNSC forces were busy with rebellions and other skirmishes, so her 6 man team was sent to aid them alone.
Once there, the new Spartan 4’s cut a bloody path through the brutes and their underlings, and all of them making names for themselves. The biggest being Rebecca herself. She was escorting a group of Civilians on her own while on a patrol when a large group of brutes attacked. She ran out of ammo after taking down 20 of them, and fought the rest hand to hand, taking a bladed staff like weapon off one that appeared to have been a former, or perhaps was still, a member of the honor guard, and using it to take down the rest. For a single Spartan to take down 30 brutes and lose no civilians in the process was impressive, and aside from metals and the weapon she kept as a usable trophy, she was promoted for her service. Her team was constantly deployed to the hottest zones, and had an incredibly high success rate, though not fully flawless.
While she never lost any of her team, something she was thankful for, she did see civilians injured in the cross fire, something that weighed on her heavily. Occasionally, her ability to command was questioned because she tended to become over concerned in avoiding civilian casualties, but surprisingly, her team stood up and said they were willing to take the extra risk to their own lives, even if it was to satisfy only one person in reality. Though, as one of her team members bluntly put it “Besides, we need a bit more of a challenge”. It did slow her progression down, but she still made lieutenant fairly fast (since she was considered Navy, she was actually a captain in the other branches). Though, when her team wasn’t directly assigned to a mission, they had what the other’s called “Baby sitting duty”, namely for her mom. A lot of artifacts and things both she and the UNSC wanted to study were in hot zones, and they needed someone to make sure she got there and back safely. Though, Rebecca often felt kind of bad that these missions allowed her to spend time with her mother.. Something the other Spartans hadn’t had the luxury to do since they were 6. But than again, they all looked to Her mom sort of like a mother figure as well as the Spartan that had saved her those years ago. The other’s had almost become like her own brothers and sisters, so she felt a little less bad about it all.
And even with their armor and all on, her mom could tell which Spartan was who even though they were in full armor with the face plates polarized. Rebecca did stand out because not only did she wear white armor (that had earned her the nickname “snow”), but because she was also the shortest of the Spartans even amongst the other girls, standing at somewhere between 6’5” and 6’8”. But the others all for the most part wore the same green and were similar in height and build, and while they didn’t all wear the same variants, you could dress them all in the exact same thing and she’d know who was who. The Spartan’s didn’t scare easily, not even Rebecca who was a little jumpier than the others since she hadn’t been training since age 6 to be a soldier. But her ability to tell them apart where other’s could not and something in how she spoke and all sort of unnerved them, though she could be very comforting and all for them as well. Truthfully, all the Spartan’s were probably more loyal to Rebecca’s mom than the military, but they still followed order’s, though the hesitated when she disapproved.
Around the time she was 23a new policy was implemented for the Spartans. Previous results from the Spartan 2 and 3 programs had shown that Spartan’s were far more effective with AI’s to assist them and such. So because they had finally been able to get enough “smart” AI’s for each of the Spartan’s, Each was assigned their own. Though, she had to have a laugh with her assigned one. Not only had it taken on the appearance of what was known as a frost wind Virago (she had always liked “pretty monsters”, her mother told her that it had been made using a flash clone of her own brain, a page she had stolen from a former professor of hers. She decided to call her Vira (taking the letters from Virago) though, she more commonly is known as frost (for what she is, as well as going with Rebecca’s nickname of snow”), and while she can be a bit of a smart ass and a pain at times, the two actually get along fairly well. OR their at each other’s throats if there not on a mission. But that’s to be expected since well… Vira is in a sense her mother and all. Shortly after though, they asked her to do a stint serving with some ODSTs, which she tried to find a temporary replacement, but her team said they would rather operate a man down than have a new sixth.
She spent the next couple of years with the ODST unit, who at first like most of them, had no like of her t all, but she grew on them after a while, especially since as one said “It’s easier to believe your human unlike most of them”. At that point she understood that no matter what she did she would probably stand out from the other’s, but she pushed it aside as the trait that made her unique. Some were stronger, other’s faster, other’s better at fighting.. Her niche was being a better people person apparently. Though, unlike with her Spartan’s, a couple o the ODST’s had been KIA in missions, not from her leadership choices, but the normal hazards that went with dropping through the atmosphere in a small tin can. Their death’s were in no way her fault, but she hated the feeling of being unable to do anything for them. That was the one main reason why she was glad to be sent back to her team of Spartans, who were more than glad to have her back, and who had kept to their word, not taking on a sixth member at all. Though, they joked she’d have to re-earn the right to be the leader.
Her and her team were given a month to get back in the swing of things, before her team and several other’s were given orders to ship out, the UNSC having found a major hub for hostile covenant forces. They were going to link up with a fleet of ships from the “Elite” home world, the sanghelli wanting to stop them as much as the humans at this point. Personally, it was hard for Rebecca to trust them, but her mentor had told her that that particular races was fine now, so she trusted her word. She spent some time in Cryo, but she woke up early to prep for the mission, even though they were still hours away from the meeting point. She was checking over gear in one pelican while her mom checked on gear in another. She than heard over the ships comms that there was a anomaly in slipspace, and that they were dropping out of slipspace because of that, and a problem with the shaw- Fukijawa slipspace generator. She told her mom to get in the other pelican and strap in since coming out so suddenly would jar a lot of things, she sealed up the pelican just in case, and the next thing she remembered was well, nothing.
She had had Vira in the Pelican’s systems, and because the Ai had been around, she managaged to get it that the pelican landed a bit softer than a crash. Vira asked if she was alright, but she ignored the question by asking where they were, if her mom was alright, and if her Spartans were fine. Vira told her her mom had gotten in the other pelican, but was unsure of what happened. They went over all of Vira’s data, and the recording from Rebecca’s helmet, both of which ended with several errors and “Unknown slip-space anomaly. The best they could figure was that what ever was wrong with the ships slip space drive combined with the anomaly they had encountered, causing something to happen like a blast or whatever that had resulted in Rebecca ending up here. Where ever here was. Thankfully, everything was still with the pelican, so she had supplies and ammo, not to mention her trusty pole arm trophy, and a warthog to boot. She encountered some people in a town, and was surprised that an old man in blue seemed to be able to use real magic, and learned that something was causing people to be displaced from where they were born. It could have explained the anomaly, but Rebecca was still in shock to find out about these other new worlds and all. While she’s not against lending a helping hand to the people of these worlds, her priority is to find her mother, her other Spartans, and any other UNSC survivors from the ship and find a way back home. Not only is there a war to be fought there, but if these “Heartless” were what was responsible for her being stuck here and were as bad as these people said, than they surely had to get back and warn the UNSC. The human covenant war had been over 13 years, as well as the bit with the flood, but with the smaller conflicts and still being drained from both things, the UNSC was in no real shape to stop these things. While she does understand that not all these worlds are aware of each other, she rather hates having to at times walk around without armor, since to her it sort of feels like walking around naked, but than again, the armor hasn’t quite worked 100% since she arrived here, and she’s still been trying to fix whatever is broke in it. Hard to do with such limited supplies and all.
---------------------
After several years stuck in this universe, her mother was able to find a way for them to get back home. They had of course been in that last battle, seeing as they had made plenty of friends on the "light" side of things, as well as several of them were helping to get them back to their home. When they arrived back, while they had to explain still why the UNSC was down a ship, they were surprised to find that it had only been weeks they were missing in their timeline. This raised some questions as to whether or not she would be able to see many of the friends she made there if she managed to find a way back, though her mom said it might have just been coincidence that the time difference was so far off.
Though with that over, it was back to business as usual. They had enough time to get to the elites homeworld where the fighting was still going on, and turn things around on the ground, seeing as the Elites had been out numbered, and the normal humans could only do so much. Though, she still found it hard to trust and work with them understandably. Though she was on far better terms with them. Her next assignment should have been fairly easy, it was her team and a group of Marines being sent to mop up a handful of rebels, most in the UNSC though it was over kill to send the 6 Spartans of Omega team and the Marine detachment. But those people were very very wrong.
The landing for the group went smoothly, having come aboard what was primarily a transport ship, minimal defensive armaments. They proceeded to set up a base at a different location, and than went on to where the rebels were to be located, and when they came to a mountain pass there was no way around, and no way to get in from the air, that was when things went to hell. The intel had been wrong, or falsified at some point, because the rebels where there in far greater numbers, and with far more firepower. Not to mention they had been waiting to ambush them apparently. They attempted to radio the transport to send down some of the reserve materials, but all that came over the radio was some yelling and a few words before just static. Vira confirming her worst fears when she tapped into the remaining satellites around the planet and found there ship had been destroyed, the rebels having several armed ships the UNSC had thought destroyed during the war with the covenant, or at least damaged beyond repair. During she and a squad of Marines were pinned at the front, and taking most of the fire, but once the others got through enough to start evacing the ones with her, she herself had taken some bad hits. As they loaded her up on the transport she noticed an injured soldier still firing, and while the others were planning to leave her because it was too dangerous, she forced herself up and ran out, only making her own injuries worse. She grabbed the female soldier, who as it turned out out ranked her, and carried her back to the transport that was airlifting them out. After having her own wounds tended to, the officer turned her attentions to Rebecca, who due to her size and injuries was laying on the floor to be treated. She began to yell at her, assuming (as most people did) that she was a guy, in this case one who was hoping to use that fact to get a promotion or something more. Though her berating rant came to a sudden stop when Rebecca's helmet was depolarized and removed by the medics that she gave pause, no longer certain of her gender, but when they managed to get the chest piece off a couple minutes later, it became clearly apparent to her (and the rest on board for that matter) that she was in fact a woman, seeing as while the heavy metal part showed no shape, the under crystalline layer did show a bit more form. At that point, seeing the extent of the injuries and that it wasn't actually some guy trying to play hero she simply shut up and sat back down so both their treatments could be finished.
The next day the officer that had been yelling at her came and apologized for it, though, clearly more because she had mistaken her for a guy than the rest of it, which only prompted Rebecca to laugh. Initially it rather annoyed the other officer that her apology was being laughed at, till when she demanded to know what was so funny Rebecca replied "That you mistook me for a guy, when your the one with really short hair and staring at my rack", something that embarrassed the other soldier but did make her laugh, though the embarrassment was more about getting caught.
After that point, the two actually started to get close, Rebecca surprised to learn that she had actually met the girl before. The other woman had been in a program competing against the various incarnations of the spartan project, especially her mothers. Although the other woman was fairly close to Rebecca strength wise when not wearing her armor, she still wasn't as fast and all as her, but still better than a normal human. So when the other project folded, they had initially transferred her to the ODST's, and while not on Rebecca's team, they had worked together on a few ops briefly. And she herself decided she was tired of being crammed into a little pod, something Rebecca got all too well. The both of them hated that while in those pods everything was out of their own hands. Though, when you looked at the relationship, and even the two of them had to admit it, it was kind of hilarious really. Both of them in their own respect were tom boys, thing was that despite being stronger, faster, and most importantly taller, Rebecca was actually more the girl of the relationship.
Though, it got put on hold for a bit when Rebecca was assigned and agreed to a covert op that put her inside the rebel encampments. They couldn't alter her size, but because she was different than the other Spartans, she could get away with the story that she no longer liked the UNSC. The basic cover story was that she was tired of how the UNSC treated her and the other Spartans, as well as several other things. Though the naturally distrusted her till she commented that she wasn't part of the program that made them, something that the UNSC defectors in the lot backed up as a potential reason for her to have really jumped sides. Especially the fact that they bought the part where the UNSC made her mother use her as the test basis, which was in a sense half true, and slowly but surely she started to gain intel on them and help disrupt their operations.
That was until during one mission, an impatient lieutenant, who was bucking for promotion and some headlines, got frustrated that she wasn't responding on the secure channel, so broadcast in the open on all channels for her to respond. So naturally with a bunch of now ticked off rebels, she had to fight her way out, and without her armor. Were she not a super soldier, she'd have probably been killed. But she managed to get away from them and steal a warthog they had to get back to where she was to meet with the lieutenant and his men. He of course asked why she hadn't responded when she stormed into his command center upon arriving, the first response he got though was a hard right hook, before she shouted "Idiot! months of hard work and you blow my cover to be the big hero", followed by a few more less than tasteful comments as she beat and threw him around like a rag doll, everyone else in the room too terrified to try and stop her. Even without her armor she was still over six feet tall and insanely strong, getting in her way was to say the least highly ill advised. About a dozen MP's finally showed up and managed to restrain her enough that he could be drug away to the infirmary.
In total the fall out was having lost their cover, and any plans that Rebecca over heard would undoubtedly be changed now that it was clear she was a plant. The officer was hospitalized, and would be there for months, however because he had ruined a hard to set up operation, and put Rebecca's family at risk, they only gave her a week in the brig for assaulting him. They also of course removed her nomination for a promotion after this, having intended to give it to her even though the mission had now failed till they heard that part. Still giving her a promotion would have created more of a problem after hospitalizing a fellow officer like that and only getting a few days in the brig. Though with this also came the fact that now Rebecca, her mother, and her partner now had huge targets on their heads, and it than became apparent that also her team did, when they were set up for an ambush only days later. Rebecca was only all too willing to go take the fight to them at this point, but higher ups disagreed. Her team's families were safe, seeing as no one knew who their families were, but they, Rebecca, her mom, and her partner were all ordered to find a place to lay low.
At this point, her mother had found a way to get them back to the parallel universe that they had been trapped in a little over a year ago this time, and it was approved since it was the one place they were all guaranteed to not be found. So they all packed what they could to travel there, and while they all agreed that they could use a break... everyone included felt that she should have just snapped his neck. For the spartan's and the marine, being ordered to leave was like an order to retreat, something they just never liked to do, and it left a very bitter taste in their mouths, and for her mother, it meant that while she could research the parallel universe more, meant all her other research had to be put on hold. But it was for the best, so they packed what they needed and could, and made their way back their, and for Rebecca's partner her first trip there. Though all were a bit shocked to learn how much time had passed, and it only confirmed Rebecca's worst fears. However, some of the people they knew were actually still alive or at the very least young (or rather, visibly young, and simply aged incredibly slow or not at all) that brought them up to speed on how things were now. They also helped them outfit with some slightly more appropriate weapons. For the most part they had found many in this universe able to put up shields that stopped bullets or quite simply were able to dodge them, but there was a rather lack of anything else where they came from, least that they had access to. The Spartans knew that most people would probably still be a bit spooked by them in their armor, but well, they all felt the same way as Rebecca did with out it. That of course didn't mean they would wear it everywhere, but unless they were still present in stories from what had been decades here, they'd probably have to explain a lot of things again. Though most importantly, things had been reworked so their suits actually functioned for the most part properly here. Though, magic was still like plasma when it came to the shields, it drained them very quickly. Which honestly gave Rebecca more of an edge here over her spartan brethren, seeing as she could at least use fire magic now, or at least one of the most basic levels. Seeing as trouble seems to be brewing again, she and the others are more than ready to help... as soon as they find a way to get to other worlds given that their ship on the other hand, suddenly decided to stop working due to the stresses of shifting dimensions.
