The light of the sun broke its way into the room of Kyoshiro Kaien Greysein. The light crawled its way up to his face as if it were a snake slithering up to kill him. When the sun finally reached his face it caused Adam to awaken. His eyes blank a few times to adjust to the light and he arose from his bed as a vampire would from his coffin. He went to the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth. Once he completed this he went back to his room to get dressed and prepared for a day of special training.
It was the weekend so he had the day off of sword training. He only recently found out the truth about his father's side of the family, and of his grandfather Axel or Lea as he was formerly known. Kyo was pretty proficient with a sword, but he was a complete amateur with chakram. So he would spend his weekend training to use them. In his private training spot that only his sister knew about, he had training posts set up and various targets located all over the place.
He took out the chakram and held them, one in each hand. He took a deep breath and imagined what it was he wanted to do. He knew very little about chakram, but it really didn't take a genius to learn how to use them. But just because Kyo knew how they were used, didn't mean he himself could use them so easily. It would take him some time to get used to them. He had been training with them every day since he had been given them and was slowly getting used to them. He would toss them at the poles slightly miss. He would continue doing this for quite some time.

"Speech." - "Quote." - Thought. - Action.
Uen wasn't particularly fond of waking up early... She didn't like going to bed, but more than that, she didn't like waking up. Sleep was good. Sleep was warm and cozy and safe. And warm. And not only that, but sleep was easy. It was definitely a lot easier than trying to learn how to sit up straight and eat salad with the proper fork. Still, as much as she enjoyed sleep, she also really liked watching her brother train. She knew he was going to be going on an adventure someday soon... much too soon for her liking.
Uen didn't want Kyo to go away. She'd be stuck here on this dumb world forever, having to learn about cutting properly and proper grammar. She didn't want Kyo to go and leave her to all that boringness by herself. The best part of having Kyo around was that Uen could always find an excuse to stop doing her studies and work to go see him. As soon as he was gone, she didn't know what she'd do. Then again, she could always try to go, too, but Kyo probably wouldn't want her to put herself in that kind of danger, and mother probably wouldn't let her go.
Wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black baggy jeans, and her usual Converse shoes, checkered suspenders, and checkered vest, Uen prepared to sneak out of the window of her bedroom to go to Kyo. He was having a training session today, trying to figure out how to use the weapons their grandfather, Axel (or was it Lea?), passed down. Chakrams, Uen believed they were. They were giant spiky rings. Uen had only ever seen people fight with swords or bow and arrows or axes and stuff like that.
She yawned, tightening the laces of her shoes as she plotted her escape. With one last sigh, she wandered over to her window, straining to lift it open. Her mother wouldn't let Uen go watch Kyo train, so Uen would have to go off without her permission. Uen was used to disobeying her mom and sneaking off, anyways. The window creaked in protest as it opened, and Uen grimmaced, half afraid her mother would hear it. She had no time to wait and see if mother was going to come check; she was on the second story of the house, and she'd have to be well prepared to make this jump. No chickening out!
Uen took a deep breath and leaped from the window, and an instant before she hit the ground, she made sure to roll. She'd learned how to take a fall quite well, actually, and she gaiend no damage from falling. Well, except that she was a bit breathless... but she'd recover from that. Quickly, Uen rolled to her feet, glancing over her shoulder to the open window before looking back to the path before her and taking off running. Good thing she had high stamina or she'd never get anywhere with how much she liked to run!
Uen was pretty sure that Kyo didn't know she was coming. She'd like to keep it that way. He may have had the day off, but she certainly didn't, and he wasn't exactly a fan of her skipping her lessons. She'd have to try to stay hidden in their own private training area. That should be too hard... it was in a fairly forested area. There were training poles set up, which Kyo would be focused on, and there were some bushes and boxes and such that she could hide behind. At least, she hoped they'd still be there.
Uen arrived at the training area shortly after had begun to practice. He seemed pretty in the zone now. His accuracy still wasn't perfect, but he seemed to be doing well. Sure enough, there were the boxes and bushes to hide behind. She quickly dodged behind the boxes, peering up over them to watch Kyo train. ooc ;; you never exactly described the training place, so I kind of did.

Kyo would catch the chakram as they bounced off the wooden poles and returned back to him. He would stare at the pole and see all the scratches caused by the impacts his chakram made against them. Kyo would suck his teeth as he saw this. He'd been tossing his chakram for ten minutes straight and made nearly no progress. He would let out a low annoyed grunt and fling the chakram at the wooden poles once more.
This time they wouldn't even come close to making an impact on the poles and simply circled around them and back to Kyo. He would catch them and start to think to himself. "Damn it why isn't this working? Every time I try to move my body correctly so that it hits, I fail?" That's when it hit Kyo, he would remember something his father told him years ago.
It was one of the most basic things he ever learned. He would enter a flashback of him sparring against his father, and him losing. " Kyo stop trying so hard to move your body! Forcing your body to move the way you want it to will only lead you to defeat! Now try again, but this time let your body move you!" He would immediately faze back to reality after his father spoke those words.
He would then take a deep breath, relax, and his body would fling the chakram, but the movement would be much smoother than they were before. The chakram would head straight to the poles and make contact dead in the bulls eye. Kyo's face would momentarily light up like a Christmas tree light. He would catch the chakram and try it two more times to make sure, and sure enough they made bulls eyes both times! Kyo would let out a light chuckle because he had finally made some progress.
Now he would take his training to the next step. He would now go for angle attacks instead of direct attacks. There were boxes and rocks all over the place, and Kyo had targets put them. He would take a deep breath and try letting his body move him again. He would throw the chakram and they would make turns in the air and head toward different targets.
One would head towards a tree with a target on it, and another for a box(the same one he didn't know his sister was hiding in). The tree one would make contact, but was an in or two away from a bulls eye. And the one headed for the box was the same.

"Speech." - "Quote." - Thought. - Action.
Uen continued to peek over the boxes for several minutes, completely silent. She'd always been pretty good at sneaking around, which she admitted was a slightly negative quality because it made her a bit hard to trust. Her shining hazel eyes glimmered with pride and fascination as she watched her brother practice, following every movement he made with a surprisingly expressionless face. She was too busy concentrating on staying silent and watching him to really display any emotions.
With every move he made, Uen became more and more sure that Kyo was doing something wrong. With every throw, he would nick the poles, but that wasn't Kyo's style. He wasn't a "skim the target" kind of guy. He was a "hit the target and save the world" kind of guy. The young teen narrowed her eyes, trying to scan his movements. They seemed... off, almost as though they were forced. He was overexerting himself. Though Uen herself wasn't a weapons expert, she knew he was doing it wrong, and he seemed to notice it, too.
He paused for a moment, examining the marks he'd made thus far, and though Uen couldn't see his face, she could see the frustration building up and making him tense. She knew that wasn't good. That would seriously mess with his performance. Sure enough, he lost his temper, blindly throwing the chakram. Uen grimmaced, feeling a strong pang of pity for her brother. Chakrams were nothing like any weapon he'd ever used. She couldn't imagine how irritating it was that he wasn't getting it right.
"Damn it!" he swore. "Why isn't this working? Every time I try to move my body correctly so it hits, I fail." Uen ducked down behind the box, sitting with her back against it as she let out a silent sigh. Poor Kyo. He looks really irritated. I wonder why it's so important to him to learn how to use the chakram... With one more quiet sigh, Uen adjusted to sit up, once more turning to watch her brother practice. She saw him as he released a large breath, his shoulders gently slumping. He was relaxing. Good!
Now that he began fresh, he seemed to be much more ready to try a different approach. His movements were smoother now, flowing like... like... it wasn't quite like water. Water was docile and harmless. It was like... fire. When Uen was young, she'd remembered a circus. She'd liked the fire dancers. They moved so smoothly - they had to. One misstep, one wrong move, and they'd have been poof - crispy-dead like a kentucky fried chicken. Fire was deadly, and they made it beautiful.
That was what Kyo was doing. His step, the way his arms moved, the arc of the chakrams through the air before the crashed into the bulls-eye accurately, that was exactly what it was. He was like a fire-dancer, but instead, he was dancing with knives. Uen felt herself grinning broadly now, and she could see that Kyo was feeling the same. The chakram returned to him, and he did the same again, once more crushing the bulls-eyes, and then he did it again! Uen almost giggled with excitement for her brother.
He paused for a moment, seeming to search for a new way to practice his skills. A moment later, he let out a deep breath, and then the chakram went soaring through the air. However, to Uen's surprise and dismay, they changed direction in midair. One hit a tree a few feet away, but the other headed straight for her. Uen knew that - thinking about it - she'd stand no chance of avoiding those soaring circles of death. She'd have to let instinct take over, and her instinct was to drop and scream.
She ducked down immediately, falling onto her back like a turtle and letting out a terrified shriek. She instantly slapped her hands over her mouth, knowing she was majorly busted now. Oh, shoot... I hope Kyo isn't mad...!

Kyo's face immediately shot in the direction of the box he threw a chakram at, because a rather terrifying shriek had come from there. He recognized the voice easily, which is what caused his face to look so terrified and worried. That voice was of the one person he valued more than anything else in the world, his sister Uen. He immediately ran over to the location with a frightened look on his face. When he saw his sister was perfectly fine, the look on his face went from that of horror to that of anger.
"Uen Migoto Greysein! Have you lost it!" Kyo stopped and took a deep breathe before he continued talking, "Would you like to explain why you are hiding near one of my targets watching me train instead of at home in class?" He sighed and completely relaxed, he knelt down in front of her and put his hand on her head with a serious caring look on his face. "Uen you can't keep doing things like this, you could have seriously gotten injured just now.
One wrong move just now and you could have ended up seriously injured or worse dead." A smile then appeared on his face as he rubbed her head, slightly messing up her hair, "Do you know what something like that would do to me? You wouldn't want your big brother to suffer like that now would you?" He got up and grabbed the chakram that lay on the floor near them, he then walked over to the three and took the chakram from there. He then walked back over to his sister and gave he a stern look, "Now explain why are you skipping classes again?
You know how I disapprove of you skipping out on your lessons."

Now laying helpless like a poor turtle on its back, Uen could do nothing else but lay there and wait for Kyo to find her there cowering like a little baby. She almost wanted to cover her eyes so that she couldn't see the disappointment and anger that would doubtlessly be on her brother's face. She felt pretty helpless at that point, like she was a poor doggy sitting amidst a messy room waiting to be punished for misbehaving. She hated that feeling, but she knew she had brought it upon herself. Oh, curse her adventurous and rebellious nature!
Sure enough, she soon heard the sounds of footsteps in the grass rushing in her direction. Kyo's face appeared in her vision and she stared up at him with regretfully expectant eyes. For a moment, he seemed terribly concerned for her, and she couldn't blame him; she'd almost gotten stabbed in the face by a giant flying... thing! However, he examined her with her hands cupped guiltily over her lips and her face red hot with embarrassment, and then he realized, and quickly Kyo's face shifted from concern to frustration.
"Uen Migoto Greysin!" he shouted, and Uen just shrank back down against the lawn, letting her hands fall to the grass. Oh, how she hated when people called her by her full name... that meant she was really in trouble. "Have you lost your mind?!" Uen sat up quickly and turned to lean back against the box, hugging her knees to her chest and looking up to Kyo, her hazel eyes glimmering with guilt as she parted her lips to explain. He took a deep breath before he went on, cutting her off.
"Would you like to explain why you are hiding near one of my targets watching me train instead of at home in class?" he growled, looking so much like the father that Uen barely remembered. She opened her mouth to speak again, but she knew she had no excuse, and with a soft sigh, she lowered her head to look at the ground. Kyo knelt before her, getting down to her level. It was something he'd always done, and she appreciated it. It made her feel less... small. She always felt small when she was in trouble, though.
He set his hand amidst her pale red hair and she looked up, the guilt quite apparent on her face as she looked him in the eyes. His voice was soft as he said, "Uen, you can't keep doing things like this. You could have gotten seriously injured just now. One wrong move and you could have ended up seriously injured or - worse - dead." Uen felt her stomach writhe inside of her, and all she could do was look helplessly at Kyo and accept the fear-induced berating that was raining down on her now.
A light smile lit up his face and Uen felt as though the world had just been lifted off of her shoulders. He rubbed her head, ruffling up her already rather messy hair. Uen ducked from his hand slightly, her own relieved smile spreading across her face. "Do you know what something like that would do to me? You don't want your big brother to suffer like that, now, would you?" Uen shook her head vigorously, and with that, Kyo stood, moving over to fetch the chakram that had nearly beheaded Uen.
"I'm sorry, Kyo..." Uen murmured as she twiddled her thumbs in her lap, trying to find the words to say to properly express what she was feeling. All she really could say was that she was sorry. Oh, and, "I saw you were getting frustrated... but you did it. That's good, right? I'm glad you got it." She offered up a flashy grin to him as he returned, both chakrams now in hand. However, his face was stern, and the grin faded slightly as he spoke.
"Now, explain. Why are you skipping classes again? You know how I disapprove of you skipping out on your lessons." Any "cute and adorable" factor that Uen was trying to use faded away as she complained, "Kyo, it's boring, and I'm never going to use it! I don't get why I should learn something that isn't important. I'd rather watch you fight and stuff... It's a lot more practical than learning how to properly set a table!" With a loud groan, she begged, "Please don't make me go home."

Kyo let out a sigh as his sister began giving her excuse for why she had been skipping her lessons right now. And of course it was the same excuse she gave every single time. She would complain that her lessons were boring and that she would never have any use for it in real life. She said she didn't want to learn something so unimportant and that she'd much prefer to watch Kyo fight because it was much more useful than learning to set a table. She then begged Kyo not to make her go home using that little girl voice of hers that Kyo just couldn't say no to.
He let out a sigh and shook his head. I know I'm going to regret this, but fine you can stay and watch me train." With that said, Kyo walked back to the center of the training field. He then looked at Uen with a serious look on his face, "Now move yourself somewhere to watch...preferably somewhere NOT marked by a target." Kyo then turned his attention back to the targets.
He then tossed them at the targets in the correct manner. They moved just as he wanted and hit the targets as he wanted. He would catch them and then an idea would pop into his mind. From what he remembered from his grandfather's journal he was able to use fire with his chakram, and even without. Kyo thought that maybe if his grandfather could use fire, then maybe he could also.
Kyo would hold the chakram firmly and hold a deep breath. He would then take a deep breath and start imagining the heat of fire and his chakram being covered in fire. He would then feel his hands get hotter the more he concentrated on the flames. He would then toss the chakram and as they cruised through the air, they would be covered in flames. Then as they hit the targets they would leave scorch marks.

"Speech." - "Quote." - Thought. - Action.
Uen had mastered the irresistable, pleading look, years ago - before she could walk, even. She was a teenager now, and that made her all the more dangerous. She was a spit-fire: young, pretty, determined, devious, spoiled, and adorable. She was the daddy's girl that never got to be, and now Kyo was the only one she could use this well-practiced face on. Her lips pursed, her lower lip sticking out so sweet, her chin down and her sparkling eyes up, she was irresistable, but completely childish.
She knew she had Kyo as soon as he seemed to pause for a moment; he took in a breath, considering her whining, and then his shoulders heaved. He let out a loud sigh, giving in reluctantly. "I know I'm going to regret this," he started as Uen's pout turned into a beaming grin, "but fine. You can stay and watch me train." Uen let out an excited squeak and stood up immediately, brushing off her dark jeans. "Thank you, Kyo."
He walked away from Uen and she watched him walk away. When he'd centered himself in the field once again, chakrams in hand, he looked to her, his face stern. "Now, move yourself somewhere to watch... preferably somewhere not marked by a target." Uen laughed nervously, regretting her recent mistake once again. She doubted he'd really ever let her live it down, but she guessed she deserved it. She should have known better than to try to hide in the training grounds.
She immediately shuffled out of the way, moving a bit closer to the entrance through which she had entered the training area. She watched Kyo with her big hazel eyes, watching and waiting, mesmerized and amazed by how quickly her brother had picked up the techniques and motions which were required in order to properly attack using the circular daggers of death. He attacked the targets with ease now; the chakrams soared through the air, slicing the targets and leaving deep gouges.
When he caught the weapons again, he paused, looking quiet and thoughtful. Uen blinked, brushing her pale red bangs out of her face and waiting for him to do something. He prepped for an attack again, taking on the stance that signaled the beginnings of the deadly throw; however, he did not move right away. Uen tilted her head, puzzled. He seemed to concentrate heavily on what looked like nothing, but then, suddenly, Uen spotted a spark. At first, she thought she'd seen something, but the flames expanded. They were emanating from Kyo and the chakrams.
Uen watched, fascinated, as the flames began to swirl and grow stronger. Kyo's face was still focused; he didn't even seem to be straining tomake the fire show up. Uen whispered, too quiet for her brother to hear, "K-Kyo, what's that...?" He threw the chakrams, and they soared through the air as if they were flaming birds of death or soemthing - like the Grim Phoenix or something. They scorched the targets and cut through them like a hot knife through butter. Uen let out a squeak.
Something about this seemed familiar, though. Very familiar. Maybe she'd picked up a thing or two from peeking in on Kyo and their father's lessons. It seemed that their grandfather, Axel or Lea, had been able to do exactly what Kyo had just done. How had he figured that out? How had he done it so easily?
