Adelaide was starting to get a little bored. Nothing was happening with Leia so she didn't need to worry right now. That alone left her with nothing to do. She'd always managed to find something to keep herself content but she was starting to get restless. She could feel the darkness creeping back, ready to start taking over worlds again. And it made her antsy.
It didn't take her long to decide on practicing her skills. She'd gotten a little rusty during the fifty or so years of peace. Once the darkness finally made a solid move, she'd need to be ready. And right now, well, she wasn't. She wasn't weak or anything, but she could definitely use some training.
Shooting spells at trees and sparing with no one wasn't going to cut it when a real battle came along. She needed a real opponent. Someone who could dodge her bullets and counter her attacks. But she didn't talk to people very often and she didn't have any friends to call on.
Most Heartless wouldn't make for a worthy foe. Not for her. She was a Nobody, and the Heartless wouldn't attack her like they did humans or other Heartless. Well, most of them wouldn't. There were some Heartless who could think for themselves that she could ask. There was a good chance that one of them would spar. Or at least act as a moving target.
But she'd never summoned a Heartless before so she wasn't sure what she'd end up with. She'd had Shadows following her around now and then, but that was about it. Those things just sort of popped up all over the place. But she never minded. She'd always thought the Shadows were cute. If not for them, she'd have been lost and alone, wondering the endless darkness, forever.
Her mind was made up. She found a secluded little clearing out in the forest and called upon her powers. She was always good with magic but summoning was a different matter. Especially with this being her first time. She wanted someone strong. Someone that would give her a good challenge without them going all out and for the kill. If all went well, she could call on the same Heartless again if she ever wanted too.
Concentrating on what she wanted, she focused her magic on pulling a Heartless through the darkness towards her. She didn't know exactly what she was doing, she was just letting her magic and inner darkness flow freely.
Finally, after a few minutes, she opened her eyes to see a pool of darkness gathering not far away. It gathered much the same way that a portal did, except she wouldn't be able to go through it. It was a one-way portal from somewhere far away. A portal that was growing a little bigger, with dark energy starting to bubble up in its center.

"Speech." - "Quote." - Thought. - Action.
The meeting with the "homunculus", Chaos, had been rather interesting in the Dark City... Tyro had considered the other man's offer quite a lot, even after he'd made his choice. He had nothing to gain or lose either way, but could he afford to have multiple masters? He'd have his personally pledged allegiance to Chaos, but he'd have his natural creation-given allegiance to the Nobodies on top of that. Hell, for all he knew, eventually he'd have some fully living mistress whose whims he'd have to cater to. Did he really want to be on this many sides at once?
It didn't much matter in the end; either way, the hunter would end up like shadowy ashes in the wind one day. May as well take advantage of these marvelous opportunities to hunt while he still had them. If powerful beings were more than willing to offer him positions of power and destruction, who was he to try to deny them that right? He was merely a Heartless with the insatiable desire to hunt and kill, and if jobs like that were lining themselves up on a silver platter and serving themselves to him, he had no right to pass them by.
Tyro stood in the empty City on the World that Never Was, wondering where - oh, where - to begin serving his functions. The softest sigh escaped his nose, wisps of shadow and the Darkness inside him gently floating out and disappearing in the dark, gloomy air. He wasn't entirely sure where to begin this hunt. He'd been cooped up fighting measly Shadows for so long, he feared that he'd have lost a bit of his bloodhunter's touch. At least the Shadows were... bad company. He could kill them. That was the important thing.
The amber-eyed man was getting sick of standing in the same place... surely a Nobody needed him to fetch their damn laundry or something. As if on cue, he suddenly felt Darkness bubbling up from the ground and pooling around his feet. He looked down, raising a brow. Impeccable timing. The tendrils of darkness crept up his legs like snakes, slowly consuming him. He loved the way the Darkness felt against his skin. It was almost as appealing a sensation as a woman's touch... but not quite the same.
The Darkness engulfed him, then, and when it had finally subsided, Tyro found himself in an annoyingly bright clearing in the middle of a forest. A ray of sunlight hit the Heartless directly in the blazing eyes, and he let out a low hiss, immediately flinching away and putting his hand over his brow, blocking out the sun. A sillhouette caught Tyro's attention; it was a rather short feminine-looking figure with long, streaming hair of gold. At that point, the dark-haired man felt a slight smirk slip over his face.
"Ah, so you're the pretty little shell who's summoned me? And what, may I ask, have you requested my services for?" he inquired with a charming smile, letting his hands fall to rest against his hips.

Adelaide watched as the darkness bubbled up and started to form an odd shape. It bulged out a bit here and there, getting taller by the second. It surpassed Shadow size. That was good, she really didn't need a Shadow. She already had one that seemed to follow her everywhere. And she had a suspicion that it was the same one that she'd encountered so long ago. The first Heartless she'd ever encountered.
Then in passed Soldier size. Another good sign, since she was wanting something bigger. Once it reached human-size, she was pretty happy about how things were looking. But it didn't stop there. It grew until it was nearing seven feet tall. She was a little worried that she'd called forth a boss. Despite them being big, and rather strong, she really was hoping for a less mindless Heartless.
Finally, though, the wisps of darkness began to fall away. It left the figure looking like a human. A rather tall human. But she knew better. It was a Heartless, no matter the outward appearance. Still, when the Heartless made it's full appearance, she had to take it all in. It wasn't quite what she'd expected.
Though, she wasn't going to complain. She knew eye candy when she saw it and there was some standing right there in front of her. At least a foot and a half taller than she was, she had to look up even though she was standing a bit away from him. The typical amber eyes that were associated with the Heartless. Wild blue locks that fell past his ears and a bit down his neck.
Definitely an attractive Heartless. And with a belt around his neck, no less. Worn as a collar and leash for a reason she didn't know. Though she'd make use of it if she needed too. She'd have to bring him down to eye level at some point. A part of her wondered if he'd enjoy that. He had to have been wearing it for a reason.
She smiled right back, though maybe a little less charming since she hadn't smiled in so long. But she was going for sweet, so maybe that's how it came out. She couldn't be sure, herself. Her hands were clasped behind her back, head tilted to her left a little.
"For now, Heartless, I only require a sparing partner. If I find you useful enough, I may call on you again. Otherwise, well, I won't need you after today."
Despite the words being rather harsh, in their own right, she spoke sweetly. Almost as if she were relaying happy words to an old friend. That wasn't the case, of course, but that's how it sounded. Even to her own ears.
"I will let you decide whether you'd like to stay out here in the sun, or go deeper into the forest. I'm not a fan of the light and I know you aren't."

"Speech." - "Quote." - Thought. - Action.
The girl before Tyro had a very innocent looking face. She was young - at least a couple years younger than him, though, for Heartless and Nobodies, age was a relative term, since they didn't age, anyways. She had big, pretty blue eyes and dark lashes to boot, and the smile she gave - or, at least, attempted to give - was quite adorable, which was saying a lot, since Tyro had never really considered anything "cute" (it was either simply existing, badass, or sexable). She wore an... interesting outfit, which, quiet smile excluded, defintiely boosted up her sexable points.
He was unable to read the look on her face. That cheesy smile she wore was just about the only "emotion" he could gather from her, and seeing that she was a Nobody and had no true emotions anyways, it was pretty impressive. She responded to his question, saying in a sweet tone, "For now, Heartless, I only require a sparing partner. If I find you useful enough, I may call on you again. Otherwise, well, I won't need you after today." The somewhat cold words she regarded him with made him smirk.
"Oh, I'm hurt. Guess I better be a good sparring partner, then." The girl stated, "I will let you decide whether you'd like to stay out here in the sun, or go deeper into the forest. I'm not a fan of the light and I know you aren't." Tyro nodded and replied with a pleasant smile, "You've read my mind. Unless you want me to crumple like a sack of rocks with every blow you make because the sun is killing me, I'd recommend we move into the forest a bit more."
Tyro now took a bit of time to look around at the forest. What world was this? He didn't quite recognize it. He felt like he should know, but it wasn't really his job to know things, now, was it? Still, he hated being in the dark (figuratively speaking), so he figured he ought to find out. A darkness up on the horizon caught his eye, and upon closer inspection, he found himself looking upon a tall castle. He nodded. Radiant Garden? Interesting. I didn't even know they had a forested area. Glad they do, though.
With that settled, Tyro turned quickly on his heel, his leash whirling around him, and he then made his way out of the clearing and further into the forest, immediately feeling a bit more relaxed once sunlight no longer touched him. Tyro wondered what sort of sparring this chick was thinking of. He expected that she'd summoned him to have an actual challenge, so he better not go easy on her. (Then again, he didn't want to totally crush her.) He kicked up the pace a little bit, considering his plans carefully.
An idea clicked in his head, and at that very moment, Tyro leaped up into a nearby tree, rocketing up the branches before perching on one several feet up the trunk, hidden by branches as he turned his cold yellow eyes down to look for the Nobody. Hopefully she hadn't seen - or heard - him leap up the tree. As soon as she passed by, he had every intention of leaping down and tackling her... see how fast her reflexes were.

Adelaide followed him deeper into the woods. She still hadn't decided exactly what they would be doing though. Magic. Hand-to-hand. Both. She was good with magic. Really good. After all, she'd had more than fifty years to practice it.
She was lacking with anything else though. She hardly ever felt a need to get in close and fight, so she could definitely use some practice there. Of course, she'd tried her hand at it before but never against anything worth fighting. So maybe that was the way to go with this little sparring session.
Hand-to-hand was something he'd practiced a lot but never really got very good at. Mostly because trees didn't make the best teacher or partner. A Heartless, on the other hand, would so this was the perfect chance to see if she was any good. She hoped she was okay at it, at least.
Somewhere during these thoughts, Tyro had sped up his pace and she was quickly losing sight of him as the forest got denser. She didn't bother with keeping up though, instead she kept at a leisurely pace. She had no doubt that he'd stop. She knew he wasn't running away from her.
Heartless had little choice in the matter when a Nobody asked something of them. This was no difference, despite the Heartless having a mind of it's own. It was how things worked. How things had always worked. How things would continue to work for as long as Nobodies were around to tell the Heartless what to do.
There was little time for her to react when she was tackled, she'd been so busy lost in her thoughts. Her first instinct was to pull out her Keyblade, spin around, and slash through whatever was attacking her. But she couldn't do that. Because she had a feeling her attacker was a certain dark-eyes Heartless. And a Keyblade would have done a number on him.
She didn't want that.
But that left her with little else to do. She had no other weapons, save her own body. And having electricity course through her seemed a little too much like cheating, though could always use that idea later if she needed too.
She spun around to face the Heartless as she was tackled to the ground, her arms between her body and his and her knee pulled up to her chest. If all went well, maybe she could at least flip him over her rather than getting herself pinned to the forest floor.

"Speech." - "Quote." - Thought. - Action.
Time for the game to begin. Tyro didn't have to wait long for the Nobody to arrive. She had fallen quite a distance behind him, as he had hoped, but not so far that he had to sit and wait for his muscles to cramp up. Like a perfect little cat, he sat upon one branch with his hands and feet holding him, keeping him from falling to injury. A break in the limbs down below would allow him the perfect leap at her, if he timed it correctly, and he always did. Instinct was a powerful thing.
The instant that blonde hair slipped into view, she was in mid-stride, so it could be assumed that, if she was travelling at a constant speed, she'd be directly in his line of attack by the time he dropped from his hiding place. Headfirst he dove, his arms stretched before him as, quick as lightning, his fingers became tipped with blackened shadow claws, ready to cut and slice; hopefully this little blonde dear wouldn't mind getting her outfit all dirty and getting her nice skin all bruised.
The girl was fast. Though he did, as a matter of fact, knock her down, his hands forcing her shoulders towards the ground, she seemed good at following instinct. He felt her hands against his collar bone area, and then he felt his sternum slam into something hard - her knee. She'd brought up her hands and her knee quickly to keep him from completely crushing her, as well as to... well, get him off. It was funny how fast things could change, really; one moment he was flying over her, the next the world was upside down.
Like he'd said, she was fast. Her intent wasn't to roll him over or to merely stop him. Her intent was to keep his momentum going a little bit; she didn't want him to stop - no, she wanted to flip him and send him flying back, and that was exactly what he did. He felt himself going head over heels in the air, his stomach twisting up, but with his owninstincts quick at work, he rolled in the air to land on all fours like a feline. He did not plan on relenting. "If you get tired, just let me know, and I'll go easy on your pretty little ass."
He quickly pivoted on his crouch, and, with his claws digging into the ground, he leaped back in her direction, practically slingshotting himself. This was a blast... too bad he'd have no heart to eat once he'd won.
