Ever since we met,

She smiled a bit brighter at his genuine happiness. There was no way anyone could be coldhearted enough to not let him cheer them up a little bit. She did feel very odd today though, since she'd been a little down, she seemed to just keep getting more and more so; though not just because of him; since he came back safely she started to think about those who had left her that would never come back safely, or that she could never come back safely to. It was a distressing thought that she was usually able to ignore, but not at this moment.
"I was so excited that you were back and you were okay, and I'm glad you are, I am; I do care about you; since we're friends(she said this part quickly to cover the last part), but I got to thinking.." She stopped, pulling her arm closer to her, "About how lucky you are." She kept her eyes low.
She smiled lightly again, though she didn't lift her eyes, "I can't say I'm being much fun at his point anyhow, so maybe entertaining yourself would be more exciting."

Sora's eyes strayed away from his friend briefly and traced nonexistent patterns in the chipped stone wall of the building beside the one that they were on. He was often scolded in school for not paying attention, but it wasn't his fault that he had a notoriously short attention span! He needed to look at things, examine them if he really needed to. Shaking away his straying thoughts he brought his bright gaze back to Ame and tilted his head to the side, running a hand through his silky spiked locks of chestnut hair. "Lucky? How so?" What was she getting at? For having friends? If that was the case then she was equally as lucky because she had him and the Restoration Committee, and not to mention the odd number of citizens around town.
The Keyblade Master tapped his chin with his index finger in thought, trying to come up with some way to cheer her up. Well, one thing that always brought up his spirits was...
"Hey! Let's go get some icecream! I'm pretty hungry and I bet it'll help to cheer you up too, I know it always make me feel better when I'm feelin' down!"

She took a deep breath. She didn't want to do this. He didn't need it. If she wanted to be sad she needed to be sad somewhere alone, but noooo, no! She HAD to do it here. She hated it when this happened to her. "Lucky that you can travel everywhere; and still know you have people who will be looking for you when you get home." She normally wasn't home sick at all, but then there were times she was more realistic with herself, and she knew her home was never coming back, and that bothered her immensely. She felt her eyes well up, but she wouldn't go that far, not now. She shook the would be tears away and laughed lightly, "I'm sorry." She was apologizing a lot today.
He got her attention when he cried HEY rather loudly. She looked up swiftly and listened as he spoke. She wasn't hungry at the moment, but she knew food would probably do her good. She nodded, and made to follow him quietly.

He scrunched up his nose in thought, letting her explanation roll through his head; processing it. So she was home-sick, was that it? Home-sick with a yearning to be missed and wanted by those around her? Or maybe it was a sense of belonging that she longed for. Whatever the answer was, Sora felt a wave of sympathy crash over him. He wanted to help but had no idea where to even begin. "I'm sure if you were to leave this place your friends here would miss you and anxiously wait for you to come home too."
Sora's rather large hand clasped down on her delicate wrist as he, once again, dragged her through the town, this time in search of his favorite ice-cream shop! Located in the center of the marketplace was said shop, Sora could feel the excitement building inside of him at the thought of eating the delicious frozen treat. But then another dilemma struck him; what flavor would he get?! There were so many delicious flavors to choose from! It was a big decision.
"Can I help you?" The shop owneer asked kindly.
Sora bit his lip in uncertainty, looking to Ame, "You first?" As he began to browse the selection of icecream through the glass.

She guessed he was right. He had a point, she guessed the people she was around here were her friends. She considered them her friends, they had taken care of her when no one else was there to do that. She was very grateful for them, if it hadn't been for their help, she didn't want to think of where she would be now. She nodded, "Yeah, you're right." She said with a mild smile.
She smiled lightly as he grabbed her wrist, and the followed him as closely as she could. She found his enthusiasm for ice cream endearing, as she did a lot of things he did. She struggled to keep up with Sora. But, she did somehow manage to some extent anyhow. She was just happy they could stop running once they got to their destination.
She looked at Sora as he looked back at her. She nodded, looking back to the man working, "Just a scoop of chocolate." She said with a light smile.

Just a scoop? As in one scoop of icecream? That was hardly enough! One scoop was like a tiny bite to Sora! He frowned at her, hoping that she wasn't just getting such a small amount of icecream because of him--for whatever reason she'd do that for. He was still incredibly indecisive towards what flavor he should get, crossing his arms over his chest and raising his thumb and index finger to caress his chin in concentration.
He wanted chocolate, but he also wanted chocolate chip--but at the same time he wanted cookie dough! Oh decisions, decisions! Well, if he couldn't decide on one then he'd just have to have them all!
Leaning forward excitedly he practically shouted, "I'll have a large cone with 2 scoops of chocolate, a scoop of chocolate chip, and 2 scoops of cookie dough please." The man behind the counter did a double take, eyeing Sora and his bottomless pit of a stomach as if he had just grow an extra head.
Reaching in to his pocket he pulled out the correct amount of munny to pay for his and Ame's icecream. When the man handed him both cones he handed the chocolate cone thats size paled in comparison to his own to Ame before hungrily attacking his wobbly over-size cone of icey goodness.

She didn't want to eat anything, but she could usually finish an icecream cone, she didn't think it'd be an issue. She shifted lightly after having ordered, she didn't know why she felt strange eating in front of him, she just guessed, she didn't want him to think she was fat or something, typical worries of a girl.
She then realized there was no chance of that. He started to order, and he just kept on talking! She couldn't fathom someone eating that much. She looked at him, and blinked. She was smiling, she could feel it, and it wasn't a fake smile either, but she was still stunned someone could eat that! She was going to reach for her own money, but he paid. He didn't have to do that, she'd have to be sure to thank him.
As her ice cream was handed to her, she took it with a small smile, and looked at the large cone Sora was given. She had to look up to see the top of it once it was in his grasp! She was still in awe of it as they moved off to eat them. "Thank you, you didn't have to buy this, I could have gotten it." She said, still staring up at the ice cream, "Are you really going to be able to eat that entire thing!?" She asked in disbelief.

He seemed completely oblivious to the incredulous stares he and his icecream cone were receiving from not only Ame but the rest of the customers in the icecream shop as well. Happily, he licked at the chocolate chip icecream that was on the bottom and the closest to his mouth, blindly following his companion out of the shop while munching on his snack.
"Oh, don't worry about it, my treat!" He laughed, turning his undivided attention back to the gigantic tower of icecream in his hand--that is until it tipped over. Every glorious scoop of delicious icecream lost, splattering against the hot concrete beneath their feet, only leaving the empty cone in his hand. Sora was still poised with his tongue sticking out to lick the icecream that was no longer there when he realized his misfortune.
"Aw man..." He bit his lip in disappointment.

She ate her own ice cream slowly, unlike the likes of the boy next to her. He was so lively, yet he'd been through so much. She didn't understand, but then again, she didn't need to. She wasn't in his place, saving the world, she was just saving herself. It didn't really matter if she got it or not, she just knew she had to save herself.
Her thoughts were broken as she heard something hit the ground. She glanced at him, and she felt her face fall. He seemed so sad about the lost ice cream. She wanted to fix it, but there was nothing to do. She considered going to get him some other ice cream, but she didn't know if he'd like it, or want it. "Aww, Sora.."
She looked down at hers, she'd barely eaten any of it. She looked back up. "You want mine? I didn't eat much of it." She offered with a smile. "It's not as much as you might have liked, but it's something."

The spiky haired brunette stared sadly at the sticky mess on the concrete and toyed around with the idea of picking it back up and sticking it back on his cone. There was the 5 minute rule, right? Or was it 5 seconds? He hoped it wasn't seconds, he'd been living by the 5 minute rule practically his entire life when it came to food.
His gaze lingered on the melting icecream for a moment longer before shifting to the girl beside him and her offer. Sora tentatively reached for her cone, but then let his hand fall. No way was he going to just take away her icecream! That wouldn't have been very nice of him.
"Mm, no you enjoy your icecream." He smiled brightly, "Donald is always yelling at me not to eat so much junk food anyway." He laughed sheepishly, completely forgetting the fact that Donald ate just about as much junkfood as he himself did...
